The thread has dog in the title, you are gonna get dog stories. I was bitten by my nanna's poodle when I was a kid so we got a labrador so I could get used to dogs. People in the estate I grew up on just used to put their dogs out and they roamed in packs, can't remember any maulings. We have a lovely Jack Russel and a cat. If the dog gets a sniff of a rabbit he's gone, the cat is a too good a hunter for the wildlife in the garden. My neighbour has 2 collie type dogs who he never walks and they bark all day, he's a w**ker 1st class. An awful lot of what goes on with dogs is down to the owners not having a clue. I'm pretty sure once upon a time you had to have a dog license. It was 7 and 6 from the post office my wife just informed me. (whatever 7 n 6 is)....

Morning, since the bike has done around 1k miles and the first service should have been done at 600 miles, the oil should only have done around 400 odd miles. You could argue it would be wasteful not to reuse it.

I don't use the paying bit on my phone l like to keep some things separate. Can't you just switch off notifications though?

Sounds like you had a bad experience with a jogger who has history with dogs. Too many people are offended by the simplest thing these days, a simple accident whilst out and about. Hopefully it won't affect you for long. One thing I have noticed around this neck of the woods is the emergence of dog fields. You hire the field for around £10 an hour, all enclosed with all sorts of bits and bobs for training your dog. We tried one with our Jack Russell just for a look, he enjoyed it, surprising how quick they learn with a bag of treats. Would soon get expensive if you did that every day but it made a change, your collie could go wappy in a place like that.

Hi, my 1990 GSXR1100 does the same especially when it's been laid up. The clutch sticks. It works ok when in constant use. Maybe time for some clutch maintenance.

Hi, thanks for the input. I'm aware of the commuting to work bit I already planned to take that off. I think retired is going to be the winner, so far anyway. People say you get bored having nothing to do all day. Turns out I'm really really good at it!

Hi, as we know insurance is going stupid at the moment with their prices and I've just seen being unemployed is apparently more expensive. As l am between jobs and not quite old enough to retire I'm looking for what I could be to keep the costs down if possible. A house husband for example apart from the kids have all gone. Any ideas welcome.

Whatever it is I'd take it out of the packaging first, l find hiding things in plain site is a good a way as any..

I wish l could remember where I bought the best one piece over suit l ever had, l think it came from Hein Gericke or Oxford but sadly it's long gone and forgotten. Anyway you never had to take your boots off because the legs had zips on the sides which made the bottoms wide enough. Elasticated cuffs on the wrist. A long diagonal zip from shoulder to down past the waist band with a velcro cover flap over the zip. It let the wet in once when I first used it where it puddled around the waist area. Once l sussed this and folded that bit out so the rain flowed off it was fine. It eventually got caught on something and ripped one of the zips. I'll get another one of those l thought, it worked and was good VFM. I thought they were all the same and did get another one very similar but it wasn't as good. Deffo try one on first to make sure it fits over your leather etc. and let us know if you find one that works.

The junction needs reworking, the southbound turning off the dual carriageway right needs moving at least 10 metres further on so it aligns with Western rd. Then make the slip onto the dual carriageway north much further up creating a clear gap between the two. No help for Em and family but that's what needs to be done there. IMO.

Ha, l know what you mean with the over 60 bit. One of the reasons I switched to the lighter and more manoeuvrable Yamaha.
