  1. it s not just blow outs but delaminating, degrade, unstableness etc. theoretically and splitting hairs yes..as unpopular and people will whine about , your putting more pressure on a tyre that wasn't designed to do that speed but as usual depending what that bracket of reference the manufacturer is basing it on to come up with that spec? what Was the bike, load and weight distribution, tyre pressures, temperature, corners speeds yada yada yada, then plus abit more for varying conditions. unless your doing a wanna go to long prison risk session, track day, autobann it's unlikely.
  2. welcome .
  3. well at least you didn't
  4. also the lower engines inside are tapered and not square (every engine is different btw) so fills it up little (at this point not as much internals filling the space) but hiher up is squarer and wider but space is filled up more with parts so little oil now will fill the window space very easily.
  5. true if it only affects them but the poor bugger who buys the bike and has to work on it afterwards. finds some unusual random crap thing attached to it trying to working out what and why, then wonder what else have they done to this bike in the pursuit of cheapness...as in this case? my mech often finds problem bikes are down to "shite" being attached also with questionable methods.
  6. Happy birthday!
  7. Well done and good season to perfect and enjoy.
  8. Hi and Welcome!
  9. bummer im sure , at least your not missing the weather at the mo. crafted beer&whiskey, play helldivers 2 & watch motorbike endurance 24hr racing, that would be me sorted.
  10. isnt wrong to a point as the base stock of the oil after lots of refining maybe so but the synthetic/additives parts aint which does break down quicker, how quickly depends. Either option has potential pros and cons.
  11. Dang thats bad! hope you heal up quickly. though id be drawing some eyes, a mouth, hands and little feeties on the bandage to amuse myself . It always brings a smile to a nurses face when they get to change the bandage
  12. its cheap stuff so if in doubt- empty it, clean out and replace with fresh.
  13. always questionable research source's, ill leave it there.
  14. back to a inline 4 650 they're wearing smaller.
  15. yeah some are ok, devon ports? a brand that was got from demon tweeks that was fitted to the Triumph worked well. but the mech i use isnt a keen or fond of them. i just keep ot the simple rubber straight valves. for the gauge - bought a std 90 degree valve version, thou if i wanted i could do what i did below to it aswell. to pump the tyre up i removed a threaded valve from a bycycle suspension pump and attached that to the pumps hose. twist on and off with thread. barely loses pressure and far less than others designed devices ive used.
  16. , but i would still pay attention to pressure and suspension, your wallet will thank you.
  17. im guessing you was checking i was paying attention (keeping me on my toes?) to what you was posting and linking too?
  18. yea needs sorting sooner than later. also to note, near bold tyre on right side? (our left as we look on the vid), tyre pressures and suspension seems needs addressing (service/set up).
  19. yes bender but i wasnt refering to that link or article. not really phil.
  20. Yes i would buy one and smile the whole time.
  21. ill assume its the front your referring to? first level of warping is more likely from the buttons and the connection faces due to crap/corrosion disc built up. later levels are poor brake maintenance, poor service, button failure.... not from toprak levels of antics, though wearing will be. Brake cleaner, toothbrush, fine pick, air line if possible.
  22. agree with SD. sometimes they dont actually need replacing, just releasing(loosen) the tension on them and other ones then reset and tightening up again.
  23. personally i dont think they should artificially make an electric have a ice sound, it was bad enough when they did ice sounds or ice car's interior theough either the head units speakers or through hub resonaters with the ford rs/st, clio and lotus. also they just dont gel as they go about things differently (also the gearing helps/hinders of each type), its like gaming in the 90s (pew pew) when you have actually used fire arms. fine for 20s and thirties fine for pedestrian reasons, thing as long as it doesn't have the one from the honda eny1, only seems to work up to 5mph so wakes everyone up within a 1mile radius while the neighbour does a four point turn getting out of the driveway and to other side street. sound it admits its funny and annoying at the same time, sounds like holy ancentsion chant and the shouting start up animation tone from the ps3....but yet still almost running over all the kids on the side roads (20mph) with a nearly 3ton moving firebomb.
  24. Thanks! not always on both counts .
