Abraxix92 Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 I'll probably agree! but it'll be a nice change not taking things for granted ^_^
littlecat Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 wish me luck , im about to go attempt to throw a ridiculous amount of gear on a very small motorbike
littlecat Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 for all you newbies... this is how you ( don't?) packj a motorbike ...
littlecat Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 and the blue bike is done with nothing but 2 bungees and a net lol
Abraxix92 Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Awwwh dat poor little cbr! what's the weight on the rear now? look's neat though!
Mr Fro Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Knackers! The closer it gets, the more it looks like I'll not be able to come.

littlecat Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 WTF, Cat.....how long are you going for?? 2 nights...same as the rest of you.....tbh most of it is fancy dress
Abraxix92 Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Packed away, had a struggle getting the rucksack sleeping bag, tent and my onesie in the WATERPROOF BAG CANOEING KAYAK, not sure how it's going to fit on the way back one the tent has been unpacked, saying that, i don't mind taking the rucksack out of the waterproof bag on the way home.
Joeman Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 since none of you have ever seen me, anything i wear could be fancy dress.....
Tango Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Knackers! The closer it gets, the more it looks like I'll not be able to come. That's a shame Fro.....would've been good to see you over there.....attendees are dropping like flies now.....
Abraxix92 Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Repacked (if you can call it that) decided to empty rucksack into the waterproof bag, little more space, put empty rucksack on top the waterproof one now, it's empty but on way home i suspect it will be carry crap.
littlecat Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 aww Fro, whats stopping you ?and Tango, who else has dropped out
Tango Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 aww Fro, whats stopping you ?and Tango, who else has dropped outWell....Chris & EAB can't make it......and I'm sure there will be others.
RantMachine Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Colour me impressed Cat, that's some insane packing I really need to start packing tonight, I've written a list and that's it... Last year I sorted everything several days in advance and even did I trial pack! What has become of my organisational skills...Got my GPS ready though; bit of laminated paper with road names to stick to the inside of the screen Edit:Hope the rain over there is nothing like the rain over here! Don't think any of us wants to wake up to a submerged bike!
Stu Posted August 14, 2014 Author Posted August 14, 2014 No one else has dropped out they never said they where going!
littlecat Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 if I don't do it tonight it'll be my fault when we leave 3 hours late tomorrow lol.you got them panniers on yet Ollie ?
Ricky Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Hope the rain over there is nothing like the rain over here! Don't think any of us wants to wake up to a submerged bike! Rain!? what rain!?I've had glorious sunshine near me I even cleaned my bike in a t shirt!
RantMachine Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Nearly Cat! 3 out of 4 brackets on each now, they hold themselves in place pretty well but they're a bugger to detach from the bike. Going to try to attach the last two brackets tonight, have to be careful that I don't stick them in a place that obstructs the fiddly process of removing them Hopefully won't take long to pack after that, just work my way down the list throwing things into panniers and top box then be on my way. No messing with bungees for me! This way has been so much easier Ricky...
littlecat Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Ollie, use bin liners or shopping bags inside them , then you can just remove the gear and leave the panniers attached...way easier
