I am hoping to to 2 tags tomorrow.

x2 :D . This is the most prolific start to a challenge yet. The good weather is getting people out and about. Tomorrow is to be cold, dry and clear up here.

A few of us were out today - I covered just over 120 miles - 10 'tags'.

Dry roads (mainly), clear skies and not too cold.

Once I have recovered my phone I will put today's Tag up did 160 miles to get it. Well actually 60 the other 100 where for the sake of it :D

There is a road (over the Stour bridge) all the way to the Cafe!

Hmm can you ride down that track last time I was there it was for Cyclists, Pedestrians and the "Road Train". Cars Iam sure have to stop at the Car Park.

Although Google says you can drive all the way.

If allowed I would not be trying the approach to the Cafe...

Or have I got something so very horrible wrong I often do!!!

Can someone please help. I got out today and got myself pics of my bike and three tags and two pubs. Went to upload and the pics where too large. Used online re-sizing app and then TMBF says pics are too many pixels. I changed the pixels and now the pics are so small I can't read my number on the bike!

How do I upload these pics?

EDIT: I think I may havae sorted it :D

OK I give in - I had thought (and google earth shows this) that the 'decent' track ends just before the Cafe and then turns to compacted sand across the frontage.

I'll ask Stu whether we should look to change this tag to Stour Bridge?????

One out of 110 is not bad though!

NB. Off to Nottingham today (in the rain  ) to get the one and only tag.

Would a pub called the ship inn still count as the ship? Only asking because if so my first tag is 2 miles from my house :)

Someone asked earlier about if Cock Inn was acceptable.........after everyone stopped sniggering a ruling was made that this was ok.......so I think a precedent has been set and Inns are valid tags.....

I have not gone back, from my working out there is either a ferry ride or a 1.2 mile walk... Seems Grumpy is on the case...

They have done a good job certainly if you like history the Winchester one is worth more than the 5 minutes I gave it....

This leaves my next question do we edit our original picture post to add more or do we post a new one each time???

Beach House Cafe (Mudeford Quay Ferry) has been replaced by Hiker Cafe which is at the end of the road that leads (via a track) to the original tag. Map has been updated.

Thanks for letting me know that it was difficult to reach.

NB. Anyone doing the Nottingham tags then a tip as to parking for the Royal Children is just round the corner before you get back onto maid marrion Way (I found this out after walking 1/2 mile from the NCP car park!) Also, Brownies has a bay immediately outside but I could not get a picture with the bike in the foreground as I would have needed to step into the very busy mansfield road.

Finally - Due to tramway works, there are lots of roadworks to negotiate dependent which way you approach PS. Tram tracks (wet) are now top of my list of things to try and avoid riding on!

PPS. My re-proofed boots still leak!

Also, I think Loomies deserves to be in the South Central group! http://www.loomies.co.uk/

There are no regions denoted by regional boundaries as such - There are just 'Groups' of tags. Loomies stays in the group it is in!

Is Loomies even listed I was there yesterday!

I also got PM saying the one Christchurch has moved just failed to read it properly

:stupid:

So below picture will not count....

Oh well third time lucky :D Still got a tag today... Just cannot post 2 tags 1 day at opposite ends of M3

Edit: To add I am not being sensible about this I have one Black Lolly Pop, One Red Star, One Blue Lolly Pop and one pub...

When you finish, you will have 10 of each and ten pubs!

The 'logic' I use is to plan a full day (or weekend) out and map the route using 'Tyre' - adjust to fit 'tags' and make it possible. If a slight detour pulls in a tag to complete a group, then I do this otherwise. I get the 'finishers' as single trips.

NB. Scotland would take more than just a weekend!

Bottom line is just enjoy the ride - If you do not get the highest score by the end of the year and therefore do not receive the hugely expensive prize (name at the top of the list), so be it!

:offtopic:

Kind of like me and sailing, you can win a race by coming first or having the biggest smile :P

I would be amazed if I finish 1 group then would not be surprised if I got one from several groups lol....

You know what they say....

Its all about the bike, the bike no peddles....
