Hi,

New to the scene having finally passed my direct access (first time!) just after lockdown was lifted. Been threatening to do it since I was in my 20's - but never went for it as I was a Boy Racer at the height of the (now defunct) street race scene - and knew i'd ride like a loon so stayed away.

42 now - job, responsibilities, blah blah blah - I drive a little slower now and have "the fear" I lacked as a young 'un.

Thing is - I don't know anyone down here in N somerset who rides, and I HATE Facebook / social media - so i'm left with awkward introductions in carparks / pubs or forums.... so here I am :-P

Riding a CB500 (2003) which I LOVE - even though it's going to need a total stripdown in the winter to rebuild - it wasn't looked after by the three prev owners at all >:/

Hi and welcome to your destiny, I'm sure there are a few members here from the west country so may not be too short of days out

Welcome in!

I started out on a 2001 CB500 which I bought off a workmate. It was a great bike; it was a sad day when I parted with it.

Hello and welcome . Nothing wrong with a 500 . I've done some really great trips on an old ER5 recently .

Down in Somerset? Somerset is up! Welcome.

Nooo. If you live in Somerset:

* "down" is towards Devon and Cornwall

* "up" is towards London.

* "West Sussex" is unreachable

Do you have a Chinese bike?
