techniques Posted October 5, 2020 Posted October 5, 2020 After falling in love with 2 wheels on a scooter last year in Thailand, I finally did my CBT in Jan this year, bought a 125cbf, as a commuter and then Covid happened. After a couple of months on the road, and a few strained (struggling to hold 70mph) trips on the A3, I felt ready for more power. I booked my DAS for the same week we went into lockdown. Nice. Fast forward 6 months, did my DAS in September and passed my mod1+2! Huzzah! Now planning on purchasing the highly recommended SV650 or an MT-07 (What I learnt on, I love this bike.)Newbie question, I obviously had insurance for the 125cbf on my "provisional" licence, will this still count as 1yr NCD when I renew on a bigger bike with a Full A licence? Thanks, and hi again. Quote
Tiggie Posted October 5, 2020 Posted October 5, 2020 Welcome to the forum Yes it will providing you had it insured for the full year Quote
bonio Posted October 5, 2020 Posted October 5, 2020 Congratulations on the pass Yes a full year riding on CBT counts for NCB. Every year on my insurance application I say I've had my licence n years, and I want an NCB for n+1. Quote
onesea Posted October 5, 2020 Posted October 5, 2020 Hi and welcome.... Yes it will providing you had it insured for the full year Well that ain't going to happen, full licence in hand riding 125.3 months is long time.... I lasted less than 3 weeks if I recall... Quote
