Although I'm having to miss my ride this afternoon, I'm pleased to have some rain, our paddocks desperately need a drink to grow the grass, it'll also keep the dust down for a few days.

Nope, ‘Cheap BMW parts’ is an Oxymoron.

However I’ve used Motorworks for nearly all the parts I’ve needed for the F650GS as they are pretty much the only ones who stock the bits, main Stealerships not interested in bikes that age.

I was kind of impressed with the S1000XR MPG, I rode it like a bit of a hooligan in Dynamic mode back to Brighton and it averaged 46 MPG.

That's the problem with your bike: it doesn't matter what intentions you have when you get set off, hooligan mode somehow auto-activates.

I've only had it for a day.. when I set off from the dealer, I was sure I would take it easy. It was a lie.

 

I'm sure an MV Augusta takes the same willpower to remain calm & collected.

The mpg achieved officially negates any hooliganism in both my eyes and that of the law. This is of course, legal advice.

Just proves you committed even LESS of an offence than you did yesterday. 

 

Following this logic a max speed run is obligatory. Smokey used the M1 IIRC
