not for me it’s for a friend

 

its my god son’s 18th birthday in a couple of weeks, he is cycle mad.  Mountain bike (not road), he is kind of handy on one.

 

I need to find a present.

 

Present though is tools, he has some tools but keeps borrowing his mums.  I was thinking of getting a set a tool box/ set the sort of thing that could be useful later in life as well as the now, with all tools not cheapest as they generally don’t last.

I have been strictly advised by my sister that any hint towards motorbike (which he would love) will result in me not seeing far past his 18th birthday.
 

However with them living abroad and COVID-19 I am willing to take the risk. 
if some one can suggest suitable.

To be honest a socket set isn't a lot of use on a mountain bike. You really want more cycle specific tools. One possibility is a maintenance stand, if he has space to keep it of course. Otherwise I'd be thinking along the lines of cycle tool kits
