My cooper 970 S Has been made in to what it intended to be from the factory - A Race / Rally Car !

 

Details as follows:

- mini lite alloys from mini spares. Off road tyres
- It has full roll cage
- fibreglass doors bonnet and boot lid
- plastic side windows
- adjustable front arms etc
- its had plates of welding over the years . But is solid and does not need any welding
- it has the correct 970 s engine Block Cranks rods
- 11 stud 940 head
- 1128 Gearbox
Starts and drives. All lights brakes work etc
It has patina
Its paint and chrome bumpers grille etc in original condition.

I had the engine fully rebuilt got all the electrics working etc

MOT and Tax exempt.

Built in November 1964 dispatched to Yeovil Somerset.

 

The car is located in Helmsdale, Scotland.
Unfortunately, I have relocated to Spain and Helmsdale is too far away to arrange a viewing for each offer I get.

I contacted OFX.com to see if I could work out his angle, before I even started the telephonist knew all about it. He apparently has created his own set of paperwork that copies OFX.com but then includes his bank account details to where of course you transfer your hard earned and that is his nasty little scam. OFX.com have received a number of calls from the people scammed and have notified ebay and the police, mean while he has milked that particular offer (as people become aware of his fraud) and I guess prepares the next 'Can't miss this one' dodgy sale. There has always to be a weak link and his has to be the bank account to where the money is sent. It is very difficult these days to open a new account all sorts of information is required and it must be in this information that he could be located don't you think?

I've been offered a cherry picker from a Warren W, same story, brother died, he is in Spain, item in Helmsdale and he can't arrange a viewing.  He offered the OFX.com route.  I was suspicious anyway then found this site and am grateful to the other contributors who have confirmed my suspicions.   Obviously I'm not progressing now.  Sounded too good to be true.

It comes with the full wrap around roll cage which is professionally mounted through the body. The seats have no rips or tears it has just had a New front windscreen with a new seal, New 4 Shockers, New carpets throughout the car, 5 New Boost Alloys, 4 New mud flaps, New door seals, New Centre Cubby Box. Its just been professionally undersealed on the its non welded chassis. Bulkhead and the footwells also in good shape. It has both front electric windows. Just had new pads and disks back and front.

Very good example has the odd age related dent or mark around the body but which landrover doesnt.

It is in very good condition both technically and optically. Passed MOT two weeks ago with no advisory notices (117114 miles).

Sob story, to make you feel sorry for him, he's got cancer. He sent pics of himself holding his driver's license and v5c. Both with the same number plates on, I enquired about a black 1 and he sent me photos of them both, Not a clever person

as the reg No is for the Yellow one.
