Mickly Posted June 7, 2021 Posted June 7, 2021 This Evil piece of shit has gone down in part due to evidence I gave - we bought a kitten for our granddaughter from one of her agents & then spent £1k keeping the poor thing alive ( She’s ok now - the cat that is ) 8 Quote

S-Westerly Posted June 7, 2021 Posted June 7, 2021 This has been going on for years. My cousin is big in her local Cat Protection League and was forever getting caught up in this kind of thing. Also why she ended up with 6 cats as well as 2 dogs. Quote
Mississippi Bullfrog Posted June 8, 2021 Posted June 8, 2021 All our pets have come from rescue centres. It helps undermine the market for unscrupulous breeders. Well done helping take this one down. 1 Quote

Well done helping take this one down. Only time I would not recommend rescue dogs is when you are planning or have young children, particularly as a first dog. Just because they can have issues, even if bought from a young age then some people pride themselves on having 100% obedience and control over there dog and it's rare with a rescue you can achieve that. Then I like that in a dog, one with its own mind... I know my other half is similar with cats, although I am not cat lover. people who pay large amounts for particular breed/ type of animal are crazy. Quote
Bender Posted June 8, 2021 Posted June 8, 2021 It is a risk with kids but any dog can be. We had a rescue st Bernard as kids, it was the best dog we ever had, it did come with issues. It didn't like anyone with a hat on, not great when plod came round because it nocked over next door neighbour, she was just saying hello It also didn't like park benches in the dark, would growl at them and go no where near, odd animal indeed. Was happy to sit still and let the budgie clean its nose and liked nothing better than giving the cat a good lick most of the time the cat wasn't impressed. Quote

Unfortunately I wasn’t given the chance to eyeball them in court as they pleaded guilty when presented with the evidence. The way I see it, is that they got more than we thought they would but less than they deserved. 1 Quote
