I actually enjoyed that thanks.

Nice smooth riding by the way, and no bloomin traffic!

Mega busy time of year, but managed to get out last thing for a couple of hours.
From Haverhill, through Linton, the Shalfords, Grantchester, a nice pootle through the old part of Cambridge, and then home. Did 60 miles in 2 hours, with a good few stops to adjust the wind deflector, which I seem to have got as best I can without looking through it.
One stop was to grab a tag (pictured) .
Really enjoying the 1050 now it's bedded in and I'm giving SDMS mode "A" a go, it's OK to be fair, if not a little "savage" on the pull away, but I think that's the idea 😁

Went to W#nkers Wednesday (Bentley Green, Essex) for a look at bikes and a cuppa. Together with my buddy on his tiger 750 twin.

Rode to Largs and had a bacon roll.

The bike park on the seafront? I went past it twice yesterday on an out and back to Ayr seafront on my wee 125. I should stop and say hello but I’m well into my stride by the time I get there so just keep on going.

And I see we share a birthday, though I am 2 years older 🤣

I’m not finding / making time to get out on the bike much this year. Too busy with home projects, lots of family staying, friends visiting, holiday, etc.

I had to run an errand to Brampton, our local town, four miles away. Usually done in the car, I chose the bike. Also filled it up ( @ £1.33.9 / litre).

On my return I practiced my slow speed riding up our drive. I was rubbish*. So I’ll be going out and practicing more over the coming weeks.

I found slow speed on my ZZR really easy, even though I hadn't ridden for 24 years.

This V-strom though, I'm all over the place. I know it's a much higher centre of gravity, but still, I wobble like a wobbly wobbling thing 😂

Similarly, I could come to a feet up full stop, pause, the ride off no wobbles on my VFR and the ST1100, but none of the bigger bikes since.

The local Blood Bike group held a slow riding day last year and I did ok then. Not so today, though. I need to nail it ahead of our tour in September

Rode it? Good grief man, this is a bike forum, we don’t actually ride! 😂

I did tell a delivery driver who spotted my bike that I only ride to Starbucks. I think he would have believed me but for my good lady’s intervention.

I had a Shite Great ride today.........

I made an impromptu decision to pop out for a couple of hours, although it was very windy, and rain was looming but hadn't fallen yet, I thought "sod it, why not".

Then I found out why not, the darned roads were sooooooo busy, (=shite),  the first 30 minutes of my circuit were mostly sat behind long lines of cars and eventually filtering past when safe. So I decided just to keep calm, enjoy the moment and head back home, turned from Bulmer onto the country lanes (which = Great), there were hardly any cars, and they were easy to pass because they were few and far between, and I happened to have a thundering V-twin between my legs. This carried on all the way home, so just for a change I just made use of the incredible back roads in my area that I always hear other bikers riding around. I did 47 miles, although the furthest point I went to was Halstead, which is only 12 miles away. I was out for just 1 hour and 20 minutes, but the last 45 minutes were great fun, and I returned with a grin, feeling like I had an amazing day.

Collected it from daughters place and given the showers (@%#@) rode straight home the fastest way. The 12 miles between Cirencester and home allowed for some blowing of cobwebs. Good to get it home.

A real pity, especially considering the great roads in the Cotswolds. Although, not all the surfacing is great.

Our roads on the whole have diabolical surfaces, they're a disgrace. Our new council is more interested in reducing speed limits everywhere instead of fixing them.

Totally pissed off. Getting sorted to go north went for petrol and dropped the think while stationary. Scratched the cylinder head cover. So annoyed 😒

It was so stupid. It was the end of my road and I braked to let a car past and there was a bit of gravel so the front wheel slipped a bit but my stubby legs couldn't stop a gentle fall to the downhill side.

Today's been a bit more positive in that I've ridden it up to Morpeth without too much drama although if I'd had my death ray there would be a dozen or so less of the population.  Anyway now psyching myself up to see my Dad which will be soon enough.
