Simon Davey
I used to sell, crash, or end up with a girlfriend that doesn't like bikes, before it needed doing, but.......... Is there a particular method for cleaning the radiator and oil cooler? Mine are clogged with dirt, but those fins look delicate.
S-Westerly
I've always just hosed them but on a low pressure.
Fiddlesticks
Same. Better to hose it from behind, so you're not forcing crud further in. 1
Simon Davey
Thanks guys, they're looking a bit crusty, maybe I should spray-soak them with a citric acid solution (nothing nasty), then rinse from behind. Cheers
RideWithStyles
simple- a very fine brush / toothbrush, tweezers and a hand spray bottle. 1
Simon Davey
A tooth brush would be perfect, why didn't I think of that! Cheers

husoi
@Bender will tell you to put it in the dishwasher I'm strongly considering to get a cheap second hand one for the garage.

Hose it up with only a bit of pressure, then patiently straighten the fins and give it a good temperature resistant black paint after removing all oxide Still going strong since then. It takes time but worth the trouble

I have an old dishwasher in the garage. It's just a bit of pain getting the plumbing in.

Tin Of wd40 or any other oil as things start to rust pretty quick afterwards, quick squirt and a rub down works wonders 1 1
