  1. I have had the pilot road 4's 5's and 6 and I must say they are probably the best tyres I have used! Especially in the wet! I had the fjr fully loaded up with a pillion scraping the pegs! I thought that was impressive! Wife not so much I haven't had a tyre as confident inspiring as these are so I find it odd you want to change them through lack of confidence What is it you don't like about them?
  2. Photos fixed for you! Can you not remove the switch to eliminate that?
  3. See this thread for rally details
  4. You are supposed to take the most direct route to the MOT station and thats it! I would find another tester thats open on a Saturday
  5. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/256433427775?itmmeta=01HR5GFBV1X185SF8T8YB83N7N&hash=item3bb49f953f:g:U5sAAOSwy~ll5McO&itmprp=enc%3AAQAIAAAA4Dd2Nozb43zKEDGc5pv6C0cIOTcBUHG3CaZsLxKQNls1cW9qUWQZOHreZsuBjDR1hMX6A9aiW0XAOC4WlKkdUuSjMamWV%2B%2FNK%2BJ5GL6VXRI0jEFPEWAeZEwnkBU%2Bnjbk0%2B6leEse0D5jq%2BPQi8kx8E80LDFf4iksEWwGlXYIJ8Ebzfzku6hZtiZDGJfvX8ifyQWPJ3ibM14PcpgBJFxD%2FfWvSq%2FFf%2FaO5l2bAoO66PRGKCirLBoo4DbeUwREk4mzfgc2xUb%2BHjoZiO%2B9kcIvk2aAhIUuoj6I7qNj0GWJrge7|tkp%3ABk9SR_q9vbDBYw https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/266689219387?itmmeta=01HR5GFBV1J5CKPZ7AV294HEME&hash=item3e17ea8b3b:g:Lu0AAOSw9N9lfbAv&itmprp=enc%3AAQAIAAAAwM3RFcWfn3%2Bzdx6dwRp0T81IUI3sjabXGy3H5ghoQ%2BvwTcoyb3%2BLNYDDgS3nOE%2BoVY9UgLPWCQc%2ByvDtKgKTbgxmFyDbB4i9YWrVm5hYkb3SPt3fLhaZl4hT1AIScAPC1KB5S5ptpscNZSfjOQ2JONYy6x9QnbUF4sPpu597sR35fl4IIobKW65VS7TBm3gk2oX8B1oolr%2BWT3lCEkVHWsMRsyzIkCN%2FUeSPLmzHEz5JLZhYEx37clnfR%2FNoJNNC2A%3D%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR_y9vbDBYw Those are the calipers you want! Triumph also do some but they say triumph on them which can easily be machined off them painted up They are 90mm between the mounting points
  6. What's your location? maybe someone close could take a look and give a second opinion?
  7. Good point @oldgrumpI forgot about the maniac! Although I never knew he had been banned for 4 years!
  8. Nope! In fact I stay well away from their website It is well known that their testing is flawed https://www.motolegends.com/reviews/Why-we-don-t-really-rate-the-Sharp-helmet-test There is plenty more of information out there if you look about When they started testing they was doing stupid stuff like dropping the helmet on to a blunt object to replicate a kerb An helmet never hits anything square on like that! it always glances off due to the fact you are traveling forwards
  9. Anyway thats enough about why eurosport is shite at recordings Any predictions for champion this year? Personally I think its still too early to predict but Bulega looking good out there as is Alex Lowes! I think my money is going on those two I think toprak is going to struggle with the bike but I do think he is still going to do well
  10. I strongly advise against trying to shim the lever and the piston You could cause the pads to bind which generates heat and locks on the brakes! A member did this a few years ago with a set of aftermarket levers that didn't fit right luckily he had ABS so the bike came to a rather quick stop without issues! He has to walk home and get spanners to release it I can confirm though that you have stock levers I can also tell you that I have had 2 GSXR SRAD's and a TL1000s with the same brake setup and i they was shockingly bad and also extremely hard to bleed all the air out
  11. @k3lv have you got the tociko calipers on the bike? If so get rid of them! they are shockingly bad You can get a set of nissin calipers that bolt straight on and are much better
  12. Pretty much this! It's been hit and miss with the recordings and some times show in the wrong order or miss some of the racing! BSB is better it just records all day
  13. We've struggled to get decent recordings on eurosport of the world supers! This weekend we signed up to Discovery+ which is free if you have sky and was so much better at getting what you want when you want Anyway Good bit of racing from the weekend with some promising riders this year instead of it being a one man race like last year
  14. I have the XT and I also have My Route app Both work fine together I have gold membership as it was offered at a good price My mate uses the free version and it works just fine for creating routes
  15. The sidestand switch is operated every time you use the side stand and it has a permanent live feed The clutch switch is also operated every time you use the clutch and has a permanent live feed The gear position sensor is also operated with every gear change and also has a permanent live feed and on a lot of bikes it also has a built in resistor to alter the voltage so the ecu know what gear its in These lot work together for safety cut out so you don't set off with the side stand down They may wear out eventually but this would be through normal use and not by using it to stop the engine The emergency stop on the bars was made just for that purpose and should be used just for that! I have known failures due to overuse but saying that a lot of manufacturers are now using it as a start stop switch and are building them more robust I do stop mine with the side stand at times but not all the time it just depends how I feel at the time! Knock yourself out using it as it won't cause any damage to any of the associated components
  16. I have had a set of these for the last 4 or 5 years https://mercurycustomplugs.com/ I can't complain! they are comfier than the foam ones over a long distance/time but not as good as the foam ones at blocking sound but more than good enough The wife has a set too and she doesn't moan!
  17. After today's rain everything was a ford No we skipped it! To be honest buttertubs we OK compared to some of the other roads we did! At one point we was in the clouds and couldn't see more than 20 metres in front of us made interesting riding on narrow twisty gravel filled roads with cars coming the other way!
  18. Today I did almost 300 miles in mostly rain! Squires, Hawes, Butertubs pass then home! A jetski would have been more appropriate I was dripping when I walked in!
  19. @Vic101 is your bike getting to temperature? You usually find on injected bikes they have two fuel maps One for when the engine is cold and one for when its at operating temp they switch over automatically One major issue that suzuki did with their first injected bike (tl1000s) was to put the coolant temp sensor in the radiator which made the bike think it was always cold despite that thermostat doing its job and keeping the coolant at 84 degrees or above although this was still a little too cold too and an 87 degree stat from a nissan micra was classed as an upgrade as well as a later thermostat housing which relocated the temp sensor to the correct place reading the correct temp If your bikes not getting to the correct temp it will constantly be running a cold map and over fuelling this can also lead to fuel running down the cylinder walls and would also raise your oil level too this is called cylinder wash and can lead to damage to the liners rings and piston Did the issue only start as the temperature dropped?
  20. Or anything with Tokico 4 or 6 pots! I replaced mine on the TL with Nissin calipers! I didn't have to rebuild those every year
  21. has it had the lever replaced at any point?
  22. They are fairly new! Just no mesh And haven't got a clue what to press
  23. It might do but the ones my work mates have only do up to 4
