  8. TheMotorbikeForum 2012 Rally When : Friday 13th of July 2012. Where : The Miners Standard, Bank Top, Winster, Derbyshire, DE4 2DR What to expect Camping Beer Rideouts A good bloody laugh Fancy Dress for those who dare! (Saturday Night) Facilities There is a bar. Anything else needed? There is a decent size camping field behind the pub. They have showers and toilets. They have hardstanding and electric hookups. They also have a couple of rooms available for B&B. Food is served all day. Breakfasts can be arranged. What it costs and how to pay £5.00 TO BE CONFIRMED per person per night for camping. You must pay the venue on arrival (behind the bar). You will need to budget for food and drink. We held the Rally here last year and the year before, and it was a good successful weekend. The Miners Standard, remembers us and was pleased with the way everyone behaved. Obviously we would like to repeat this and fly the flag for responsible bikers everywhere. Same rules as last year, as this is a licensed premises, you are not permitted to take your own drinks into the pub or its environs. You are welcome to drink what you wish on the camping field, but walking into the pub with your can of stella is unacceptable!! Sorry no children under the age of 13 this year guys Any questions please PM me

  15. so you have two choices take the bike to the dealer and get the tyres fitted at £240 or get tyres delivered at what cost? + the price of fully fitted to your bike usually around £40 for you to ride the bike in also struggle to get the tyres there you would have to get the tyres for less then £200 to be worth your while what tyres are they there is loads of bridgestones
  16. except the safety switch on the side stand is now not working so you could set off with the side stand down!!

    Carb needle help

It's hard to say what it is it could be needle it could be jet size

    Carb needle help

The jet needle and needle jet affects carburetion from 1/4 thru 3/4 throttle. The jet needle is a long tapered rod that controls how much fuel can be drawn into the carburetor venturi. The thinner the taper, the richer the mixture. The thicker the taper, the leaner the mixture since the thicker taper will not allow as much fuel into the venturi as a leaner one. The tapers are designed very precisely to give different mixtures at different throttle openings. Jet needles have grooves cut into the top. A clip goes into one of these grooves and holds it from falling or moving from the slide. The clip position can be changed to make an engine run richer or leaner, If the engine needs to run leaner, the clip would be moved higher. This will drop the needle farther down into the needle jet and cause less fuel to flow past it. If the clip is lowered, the jet needle is raised and the mixture will be richer.
  23. Even better mate bring it round and I will ride past you on it Looks good mate
  24. Yeah that's spot on where it steps back a gasket sits in there I have posted on another forum to get the measurements as I don't have access to my bike at the min
  25. No its suzuki's own design of a slipper clutch all it does is release pressure on the plates when off the throttle so it slips a bit stopping the rear locking and also makes the clutch lighter for town riding but it also makes the clutch grab out of the blue which is a bit scary If anything it will reduce wear as you have more controll
