  1. Flippin eck, melting the dash? Nope. It was second hand, but the guy did put the stickers back on, which just said"don't use solvent cleaners" in several languages. Despite it's complex shape, it's quite flat overall.
  2. I'm currently researching custom buds for use with my Cardo. They'll reduce wind noise, and give me clear audio without having to blast it through my foam ear plugs.
  3. I'm not "boaty", but what a fascinating thread
  4. Cheers, much appreciated. My tyres have only done 100 miles, so I'll keep them for now . I've bought a new road version, I'm not likely to ever need the abilities of the XT. Love the electric aids though, everything from cruise control to hill hold has been useful already.
  5. Bloody hell, that sounds like hard work! But, what a trip. Many thanks for sharing @vstromming, and welcome to the forum.
  6. Niiiiiiiice.... My chocolate Hobnob doesn't compare..
  7. Thanks, and Yes indeed. Just a couple of planes, both trainers, and one I never flew. I found the helicopter much easier, but that's not been in the air for 15 years. I need to sell them on, and admit I don't have time. Bought new radio gear etc (Spectrum NX8) a few years ago, thought I'd have a revival, but it all just needs to go on eBay.
  8. You have such great rides @ColinWB You must also have a fantastic seat to keep going for 3 1/2 hours...
  9. Despite your whole working life at sea, they're giving you training..... You know you love it. Hope it goes well, all the same.
  10. How much do you love the bike? Despite being on the limits, is the suspension working as you'd like it to? Is your riding manner making unreasonable demand on the bike? Is there another bike that you'd really, really like to have?
  11. He Gordon, welcome to the forum. I think 40mm might be a bit of an ask, but there's this sort of thing on eBay https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/175893621178?chn=ps&_ul=GB&mkevt=1&mkcid=28&google_free_listing_action=view_item
  12. That's just so much goodness in one post @rob m A bike you still love, and one that looks good enough to eat, a burger that really was good enough to eat, and a fantastic ride.
  13. 50 mile round trip. That Zumo XT2 can be very misleading, literally! East of England White Dragon Activity Centre. So windy, I had to hold my number.
  14. That's awesome news, congratulations. Good luck with your search.
  15. @TheDuke790 Welcome to the forum, and get yourself some saddle soap. It cleans, nourishes, and softens at the same time.
  16. Cheers matey, my occupation, and my family are quite restrictive when it comes to travelling (we work 7 days per week). However as per last year, I have the great excitement of a week long trip to Germany with seven others in September to look forward to. I get out for a couple of hours per week, that also makes each little excursion, a little bit special. I've only done 36miles, but instantly felt at home. The handling is sublime, plenty of elec-trickery, and torque to pull your arms off. All the reviews are saying it's so very underrated.
  17. My tractor is tiny, and rarely goes on the road. I have driven "proper" tractors though, plenty of times, and I can assure you that a rubber dinghy in a rough sea has better handling. Couple this with 15 tonne of trailer, especially liquid, and a driver that has their foot flat on the floor and this kind of disaster is inevitable. Now obviously the above is an exaggeration, but not that far off.
  18. That muck's nuffin to do wiv me guv That's the great day we all love to have, nice one @Fender1515
  19. Blimey, nothing happened to me today, so judging by @Mississippi Bullfrog day, mine's been amazing
  20. @onesea Wow, that sounds pretty exciting, and possibly quite daunting.
  21. I had to think about it, but not for long
