  1. All we need now is your bank account number
  2. My mother in law shops in Cirencester, but in her 80's, she's still bombing around at 90 everywhere
  3. One day, I'll splash the cash, if I ever earn it
  4. Already sitting in the corner covered in flies. Just moved my Cardo across to my Shark. Currently looking at decent helmet options. Oddly(??) though, this cheap Shark, is just so darned comfortable, it's a bitch to get on and off though.
  5. Happy Birthday older grump
  6. I went out this morning, my ride back was very busy with cars, plenty of overtaking but also plenty of sitting there awaiting the opportunity. Now I'm home, I can hear the frustration on the roads around me, just short bursts of power, bikers hoping to just get past the car in front, and when they do, more cars. . I'm going to try my best to have weekday rides during the summer. Be patient and stay safe people.
  7. Had a great ride out this morning, just 45 minutes each way. I thought I'd use my spare helmet, a new Shark Ridill 1.2 (clearance stock), it's so comfortable compared to my HJC i90, which is far too big for my head, and is so heavy by comparison. I really did miss the Pinlock though, it was cold and misty on the ride out, so visor open for most of the outgoing journey. Currently looking for a Pinlock to fit the Shark.
  8. There's a place in north London that does them to order. In fact, they do a complete refurb of the caliper if required.
  9. Good morning It's going to be a nice morning, and I have an excuse to get out on the bike for an hour, instead of working...
  10. Those are great pictures, I'm proper jealous.
  11. Just to report back. It was all pretty simple really. The pistons were pretty well jammed into the crusty old seals, which had been changed before. This was evident by the plier marks on the pistons left by the previous bodge. The old pads were very thick, but I replaced them anyhoo. I polished out the marks on the pistons there were some small burrs. Got it all back together easily enough, went to Halfords and bought a new torque wrench Spent forever bleeding the brakes, and I'm still not 100% happy with the pressure, but I'm going to do a master cylinder rebuild to see if that helps. You can see a slight leak, it's where the piston had been put back in with plier marks, the burrs had damaged the seals. Thanks again for the input folks.
  12. Not had this problem, as I was never as well planned as you. Marriage and children should only be the concern of you and your girlfriend. Discuss your concerns with her, and between the two of you, think of an answer to give people, then you can speak loud and clear, and those "regulars" will get the message. If you both decide you'll have kids when you're good and ready, then you can both make that message heard.
  13. That's brilliant, cheers. I've actually ordered it as I decided I'd do the master cylinder rebuild too. Nice one, thanks again.
  14. Welcome to the forum. The forum is great, it's the people who use it you have to worry about
  15. That really does look awesome @Fiddlesticks Glad you're having a great time.
  16. Pulled the front brake calipers apart, I even put them back together. They're now a lot cleaner, and with new seals, polished up pistons and new pads. They're a bugger to bleed though, and I can still get the lever to the bar on occasion. Still went for a 90 minute blap last night though
  17. Depends on tyre size and whether it's front or rear.
  18. I bloody well hope not
  19. The Boa system is a bit shite, but OK. One of the wrist straps is attached in the wrong place, so it digs in to my wrist and goes crooked when tightened.
  20. I'm taking my Knox Orsa back to J&s, I've tried them on a few times, and one glove didn't seem right. I found a defect today, surprising poor quality control for £100 gloves. Otherwise, they're damn gorgeous on the hand.
  21. Good afternoon, and a sweaty one too. Been using my line trimmer for the past couple of hours, hate the damn things
  22. Well I torqued the caliper assembly bolts to 21, and the mounting (to the forks} bolts to 25.all with threadlock. Didn't seem right at all, I just have to tell myself that the torque wrench has far great leverage than the Allen tools I used. I only just managed to get them undone from my previous gorilla tightening. What do you call delicate? My new 3/8 wrench goes down to 12 N-m, which seems like a tickle.
