  1. I agree with @Yorky get yourself one that's already running and working, that just needs TLC. Besides, I reckon that's a lot of money for a nun running 50cc.
  2. My insurance provides limited breakdown cover, but it seems sufficient. My bike is 19 years old. Following with interest.
  3. Would be perfect for our little farm.
  4. I live 15 minutes from Finchingfield, some great roads around the area. I'll avoid the A12 as much as possible in a car, let alone on a bike.
  5. Have you adjusted the lever, has it got a disk at the pivot that you can set to No.3 or 4?
  6. Sorry to revive a "done" thread, but, I was pootling along a 70 Mph today, and I realised that although I had my sun visor down, I actually had my main visor open, and there was no wind buffeting around my helmet at all. Whilst I've previously only managed short rides of 30-45 minutes, they've mostly been through towns and villages with just the odd short burst through nationals here and there. I'm very happy with my cheap little wind deflector, now I just need to sort the wind at my chest. It's not bad, but it's noticeable.
  7. Oh man, I really feel for you, you must be devastated having to drink wine instead of mowing the lawn.
  8. So, I'm wondering if @Hoggs is just as posh as those places you visited today?
  9. Slapped on all the luggage, and took my old fashioned, ageing beauty to Braintree today. I removed the winter liner from my jacket, and I was so pleased I did!! Had a voucher to spend, and used it to buy myself a HG magnetic tank bag. I'm seriously happy with it, it's just the right size, has plenty of pockets, it expands and comes with a fluorescent yellow rain cover. I also treated myself to an Alpinestars Andes Drystar jacket, it's been superseded by a newer version and I took advantage of the £30 saving. It fits very nicely, it's not too tight, or loose, but I have plenty of room. On top of that, I had a great few hours out, I reckon I saw almost as many bikers as I did cars, I had such a fantastic time.
  10. You're a Jethro fan too?
  11. That's great to read @Fender1515
  12. Have a great time GoG.
  13. But that toilet bowl does actually look clean.
  14. You've got me looking at those, I'm going to buy an external one, rather than pull my seat apart.
  15. Good progress, you have such patience.
  16. That's a proper dad joke
  17. Topping up every 6 months is interesting, I thought it was more often. Having said that, our horsebox (7.5T) will start with no care after 3 months.
  18. That's very generous @Fozzieand thank you. I just bought a service trolley from Halfords and put it through our business, so I have to do it, just to avoid scowling from the missus.
  19. I stupidly bought a Ultimate Addons phone mount and case, it's brilliant, but like you, I keep my phone in my pocket, and just mount the satnav on the clip-on mount. My satnav controls my phone so happy days.
  20. Did you manage to get what you needed @Phil1?
  21. That's superb, many thanks for so much detail. Are you free this weekend? (I'm kidding, we have the MIL over)
