    Bake off

    Well my daughter was wrong…
  2. I started on one, it did it’s service for me. Nice bikes, maybe a couple of miles an hour slower than some 125’s. If your on a budget watch your insurance, it could be considerably more. They will do 50-60 mph all day. Good on fuel, 4 stroke not 2 stroke.
  3. Atleast it wasn’t your head you would of smashed it…

    Bake off

My daughter has concluded this years winner, she has established a working theory. Based on the theory that the winner has only stood in 1 of 2 locations in the line up and out of the 2 positions one has had a 75% success rate. So how do we place a bet?
  5. From what I can tell he lives in women’s clothes in men’s wardrobes
  6. You can with some insurance put 2 bikes on one policy, If that’s any help.
  7. Mine has an area I can use, you could probably fit 20 bikes in. I think once this summer I had to share...
  8. They work well but buy 15ltr not 25 as 25kg is heavy to lug to you garage. Although something like this is tempting: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0BW14H8ML?tag=ceukreviews62943-21&linkCode=osi&th=1&psc=1 Last time I looked it was 0 with heavy frost. At work my bike is in a garage so I can ride out leaving others scraping there cars
  9. 2c down here at the moment, I wonder how cold it will get before I ride home at 0200 ish..
  10. With @Mississippi Bullfrog here don't start it unless your going to ride it. Also in the camp of ride all year, so don't put it to bed. However acf50 applied generously and salt is washed off at every opportunity.
  11. I don't think the 2 are interconnectable. However fit a relay and you can run whatever you want of it. As long as you don't drain more than your alternator. Presently I run my heated gilet (£30 on Amazon make sure you get one with chest and neck warmer) off a battery pack however was thinking why not just plug into spare usb point?
  12. Now time to get contradicted: Cheap Chinese £14.00 heated grips. I installed 2 pairs yesterday, one set where 6 years old and probably failed due to my wiring! The other set are replacements for ones damaged (previous owner teenage boy with 125cc ). I like the subtle control that isn’t the big Oxford box. I have installed these on 4 bikes and had 1 set fail after 6 years. yes you either install into wiring or through relay there is no Auto off. However with the relay you can add lots more accessories USB charging anyone? Yes I compliment them with these: Cheap Chinese £2.35 copies of puppy grips. but that’s a comfort choice. So by my count that’s a £200 pound saving over cheap Oxfords over the years.
  13. So where mine but we want home down the motorway. He also said it’s now your licence ride as you want. I believe you can ride with L plates on I know some local delivery riders do, when using delivery scooters.
  14. That’s why you couldn’t find me back here it’s dark
  15. As a male I have learned not to have anything to do with females and there wardrobes. Even with a modest collection of 8 pairs of shoes I would choose the wrong pair
  16. You say that and you have not even met me, although most would agree
  17. Rust in steel, rust converter. Fertan: https://www.fertan.co.uk/ Other brands available but I have used this stuff your years and it works. Over coated for additional protection where required. Alloys: Avoid stainless steel, galvanic corrosion is a killer.
  18. Several thin layers, it depends on temperatures time of year and weather. Rain adds another layer on just because it’s cold all times of year. Everyone has there own choices. I always aim to have enough layers I need my vents open. Unless it’s hot then it’s as little as possible. In summer my layering is such that I have to be-careful how much I undress.
  19. I have been using similar with car play in the car, it’s a little lumpy. But it does work. Not certain how it works with headset will have a play. I have been tempted for bike. Temu have similar with cams for £130-£150. https://www.temu.com/goods.html?_bg_fs=1&goods_id=601099514613774 however it’s allot to pay for cheap stuff from China if it doesn’t work.
  20. Depends what your looking for when it comes to China. Done stuff is ok, very much pay your money and take your chance. I bought some heated grips for my trophy 6 years ago. Fresh from China, because they where a better fit than Oxfords or other brands. They gave up at some point this summer. So 6 years on I have bought some more the same. £12.50 every 6 years I can deal with. Phone holders not so much 18 months to 2 years from China. Then other stuff I avoid China. Much depends on availability, price, intended use and effect of failure.
  21. They probably think your a delivery rider, drug runner or thief.

    Rally club

Something best not to get involved with, patch clubs IMHO are an interesting breed. I know I have arranged a meet that has been checked out by one of the local patch’s. Just to make sure we are not stepping on toes (apparently I live on boarder of 2 rival patches). I am not certain where females stand amongst them. They take there patches and themselves a little serious: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4097098/Furious-biker-forces-man-Sons-Anarchy-jacket-wasn-t-member-gang-didn-t-earn-it.html As someone else said as long as your not involved they will not involve you. Once a group of middle aged men had been confirmed not to be patch we where left alone. There are others: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Satans_Slaves_Motorcycle_Club https://www.hellsangelsmcwessex.co.uk/history And affiliated clubs etc, some of which are feeders for big clubs. If they have a patch they are probably linked to a bigger patch group in some way. Although my local affiliates it’s more likely zimmers at dawn, until they call big brother back up. However if there are no patches it could just be a group of people having some fun.. Curved riders are a good group to join for advice.
