You do realize that I've never owned a Yamaha and that I simply searched the internet to provide you with an approximate answer. That was back in February, surely you've bought or downloaded a manual by now . I don't mean to be rude but sometimes you have to do some research.
  2. I am intrigued to know how that big long monoshock works connected directly to the swinging arm without any linkages . It looks like it would rub on the frame so I hope its not as dangerous as it looks. I guess the super length side stand is still a work in progress. ( the shock looks like something off a car ) You sure this isn't just a load of parts shoved together to get a free advert ? It is isn't it ? Come on now .
  3. I'd avoid this new fangled transparent green fuel pipe , it goes rock hard after a few weeks , I don't like it . Like Six says , probably best to buy the correct part , its probably pre shaped rather than just a length of tubing.
  4. Like mine , you haven't left the spring type bit off have you ?
  5. Welcome to the forum, I'd think I would see how it rides before I worried about what colour to paint it .
  6. Assuming the battery is good then , the first connector to check would be the ignition switch one which may possibly be bright green . A handy little tool for cleaning contacts can be made by sticking some wet and dry paper to the inside faces of a pair of broad bladed tweezers . Clamp the flat pins in the male half of a block connector with the tweezers and move up and down to clean . Look for signs of melting because this particular connector is usually positioned very close to the hot engine . The one on my GSXR melted ages ago and had to be replaced . Running the engine while stationery does not allow the heat to dissipate so you never know .
  7. Well that's the first thing to check with your multimeter tomorrow. Did you put it on a maintenance charger ?
  8. Not without getting my greasy hands on it no , you've pretty much diagnosed it yourself so all you have to do is get stuck in with a multimeter, £12 from Wilko.
  9. So the starter solenoid isn't even clicking then ? First thing to do is sandpaper the battery terminals and connectors then retighten. If that doesn't do anything then the battery is f****d or fooked to use the correct terminology
  10. I have mild Asperger's syndrome myself and although I have struggled through some difficult times in the past I wouldn't have it any other way . I consider it a gift to be able to see things differently. Interestingly I was only officially diagnosed when I was 52 . I really should get off my arse and change my job to one where I am making a difference to people who are more negatively affected by the condition.
  11. Have to take issue with this I'm afraid! The old CRB checks weren't transferable the new DBS including enhanced are! My Mrs, Susieque, is a Kumon instructor, she has to have the enhanced check, as do all her staff. Provided that each employer is registered with the updates service, the employee simply gives their DBS certificate number to their new employer and it can be used by different employers. EG: 1 of Sue's staff works at a school so has the enhanced check, she and Sue both registered with the update service, Sue no longer has to pay for another check to be done. With quite a high staff turnover this saves her a fair bit Not entirely the case - it depends on the organisation. Which is why I have four because every organisation I'm involved with won't accept transferred DBS checks. I agree , it is my understanding that a transferable DBS is at the discretion of the new employer and that time elapsed since it was last done may be a factor . I get the impression that most employers ere on the side of caution and will require a new one . I should stress however that this is purely based on what my Jobcentre customers feed back to me .
  12. Is it the movement of the cover or is it the wind moving the bike assisted by the sail like properties of the cover ? Sound too sensitive to me , any adjustment possible ?
  13. So you might not need a new tyre then . The tyre might just need removing and the rim cleaning up before being re seated . My mate had car tyres fitted but one didn't stay up so he went back and the fitter just took it off , scrubbed off the rust with a wire brush , and put it back .
  14. Yes. Because I bought something from Goat. Fair enough.
  15. Size 11 Sidi Vertebra boots , excellent condition £70
  16. Has anyone actually sold anything using this section?
  17. This has happened to me . I tell them it's a good thing its not a child in a pushchair. That makes them take notice, hopefully.
  18. The lower section taken from the leg of a phone tripod from Poundland is a perfect fit for an aluminium tent pole . Ideal for sleeving cracked or bent sections . See pole at the bottom of the picture.
  19. Do the washing up !
  20. It was the green/white wire which comes from stator and goes into cdi. It had to be touch with ground wires. Could u tell me what is M.O.T test? And i live in Finland in a little village. Im building this bike for fishing trips. Distances between my villages and good fishing places is so big that it makes no sense to walk there. It is pretty usual that we drive without lights and licenses here. There is no police station around and the traffic is pretty minimum. Sometimes we use headlights for bikes to give some light. And a last question. Was my english good or bad? Im training for my english test as well. Your English is a thousand times better than my Finish . Sound like paradise , for a few months of the year anyway. An M.O.T test is a yearly safety inspection required by the Ministry of Transport that states that if a vehicle is fitted with lights then they have to work . Hyva kalastus !
  21. Stick it in the sink , watch carefully for bubbles . If its the valve , not so bad , if its the tyre not so good . If you live like me you may want to do the washing up first.
  22. Tubeless unfortunately.
  23. The thing with aftermarket rec / regs or anything else for that matter is that just because you pay £30 - £50 for one it doesn't mean that it isn't a £13.99 marked up to make you believe its of superior quality. There is a reputable brand called Electrex available in the UK that I believe often exceed the manufacturers specs.
  24. I definitely think you should take it back as not fit for purpose. Just a note though, from experience I would say that quite often what seems to be a back wheel handling issue is actually a front wheel issue and vice versa. Have you given the front end a good yanking to check for play in the head stock and wheel bearings? Also , does either tyre get unusually hot pointing to incorrect inflation ? At least if you have some idea what's wrong you won't get fobbed off by the dealer . Don't try to fix it though or they will hold you responsible for the fault . Good luck.
  25. Well there you go , you didn't really need any help after all . So which wire was it ? It would be nice to know in case anyone asks the same question in the future . I guess they don't have M.O.T tests where you come from . In the U.K. We tend to ride with lights on in day time to alert other road users of our presence . I suppose you don't have speed cameras either .Good luck with your Police Magnet .🏍
