Well I think Ian guessed it . It's a Bond . Same company that made various three wheelers including the Bond Bug .
-
When you think you have seen everything and then you happen upon this curiosity . Anyone want to guess the make ?

You get Midges in Glasgow Central Station if the conditions are not favourable .

Well I'll just hold up my hand and admit to my hypocrisy . I've got up early this morning and , try as I might I just can't summon the will to ride 60+ miles on the A14 among all the Saturday crazies on a dull day to meet a handful of folk that I don't really know . Have a wonderful time everyone who does attend .
-
I think you may have missed the point . I was merely contrasting the attendance with the apparent size of the forum . Here is the 2018 Rideout .

Yeah , I'm popping in on the Saturday . It's worth mentioning that this will be the most boring ride imaginable , M6 , A14 all the way . Go be honest , I'm rather disappointed myself that a forum of this apparent size can only muster a handful of members who are prepared to attend a National Rally . Have any of these people even got motorcycles ?

Where are you planning to have breakfast Ian ?
-
Ok , I'll get up early . Were not going to end up strung out all over the landscape on single track roads like last time are we ?
-
Weather is looking good . I'll probably pop in on Saturday morning and have some lunch unless anyone can suggest a better time .

How times have changed . I remember when we went to a rally to roll in mud and wore the same clothes next weekend .

Just went out and rode mine around Warwickshire ( HS2 permitting ) A lovely warm, dry evening with very little traffic . Just me and the big , beautiful Harley . Never looked down at the dash once , just riding by feel and sound and changing gear occasionally more for something to do than anything else . I'm really dialled into this bike now and loving every mile of it . ( Thanks again Ian ) Another bonus is that wherever I stop , there's always something beautiful to look at . My bike .

Replaced the front pads on the Harley . I was very impressed by the simple , robust design of the caliper and the retaining pin which is essentially an M10 bolt . No recessed socket headed pins made of toffey , no tiny R Clips to lose , no razor sharp chrome spring clips to fly out , no rubber boots to rip , no anti squeal plates to fall out etc. etc. The pads had hooks on the back that engage with corresponding hooks inside the pistons enabling them to be replaced in a few seconds . A good design .

I've been looking into K&N , DNA and similar " High Performance " air filters . Seems like you can't have it both ways . Your bike either breaths clean air or it breaths more air . Try smearing a little grease around your carb / injector throat and you'll soon find out what's finding it's way through that expensive fibre and gauze filter . More than any paper style element would let through that's for sure .

Had a new front tyre and tube fitted and passed my MOT . The tube was in a pretty ropey state so best be cautious . Advisory on the front pads , new ones on order . I think I should probably pay a bit more attention to the essentials and less time polishing the chrome .

F**k this ! I've forgotten how to ride a bike .

Does DNA stand for Does Not Accelerate ?

Inherited Triton
fastbob replied to SherbetLemon's topic in Old Motorbikes, Projects and Restorations
There are loads on eBay ranging from £6,000 to £12,000 . It all depends on the specifications and the quality of the engineering plus that elusive thing called provenance . I would approach Bonham's auctioneers to get the optimum price for it . -
SUZUKI GS750 ....... hugger
fastbob replied to detainer's topic in Old Motorbikes, Projects and Restorations
Not a chance . Huggers hadn't been invented in 1977 . Huggers are a Sportsbike thing from the 1990s . -
If someone bunged me one for £100 or so I'd probably have fun tinkering with it but I wouldn't want one as a main bike .

Make sure you know where the nearest train station is incase the relationship ends abruptly .
