  1. My understanding of a bead is like a 3-4 mm "String " straight out of the nozzle .
  2. That's some bead . Be careful they don't hydo lock .
  3. Oh , you had a KLE . What are your impressions of it ? I'd like to do one up but they seem hard to come by and expensive .

  5. I was idly trawling through insurance quotes for the ER5 and I could barely believe it . I've been known to spend that on petrol on a really good weekend .

  7. What you are describing sounds like the way I have ridden motorcycles for over 40 years . We all have different levels of aptitude for riding bikes just as we have different levels of aptitude for playing the guitar or playing tennis . Just because you love bikes dosen't mean you're any good at it . So don't worry about it . Stay safely within the bounds of your ability and just enjoy . Quick story . I used to work with a young Andy Carlisle . You'll have to Google him but he's the fastest biker round the Nurburgring and a mate of Guy Martin . Andy would come to work on whatever bike he had to hand including a scooter . One day I followed him home on my GSXR and what I saw astonishes me to this day . He appeared to just get this thing up to full speed and then fling it smoothly into any corner without braking or throttling back . The lean angle on those little tyres defied belief and I was sure he was headed for a slide but it never happened . What struck me was the sheer fluidity of his riding style and complete lack of fear . In other words , he was naturally gifted . I am not naturally gifted at anything much but I'm not going to let a little thing like that put me off .
  8. CG125 anyone ? If it only lasted a year it would be cheaper than bus fare .
  9. https://themotorbikeforum.co.uk/topic/39289-scotland-2021/?do=findComment&comment=562741. This is my last trip .
  10. This was the best one I built . A 1976 . That engine is a hybrid mixture of Brazilian and Japanese parts . I always regret not sourcing a better chainguard .
  11. Just wondered . In my extensive research on the subject I came across this bike . Might be a trick of the light but it looks like the engine and mudguard are painted black and the bottom half of the chainguard is missing . Just like yours. This one sold recently for £600 .
  12. Lovely , glad we got that sorted . Just a slight note of concern . You're going to have an interesting time of it when you get another bike and you have to unlearn that gearbox .
  13. I answered the question a page back when I said it was a Cg125 . Anyway , looks like we have served our purpose as an information on demand service .
  14. The 4 down gearbox is consistent with this being a genuine Honda " Nostalgia " model built in Japan .
  15. Did you buy it in Maidstone by any chance ?
  16. Ok , what bits have got made in Japan on them ? It should be just about everywhere if you look closely . Have a look under the side panels and on the wheel rims for instance .
  17. Yamasaki has always been my favourite make closely followed by Hongda .
  18. Here's a selection of Chinese looky likys . I got bored when I got to 15 .
  19. Ok fine , but you have the entire internet at your disposal . To the best of my knowledge , I don't think any of the participating members here have a CG 125 . I've renovated and sold on 9 of them but that was years ago before prices went silly . To find the picture I supplied I just googled 2001 CG 125 and there it was . I'm not trying to make you feel unwelcome here but have you considered joining a CG125 enthusiasts Facebook group ?
  20. The DVLA aren't bothered what model it is .
  21. My GSXR 1100 was registered as being 11,000 cc for years .
  22. Don't worry about what model it is . Just call it a CG 125 .
