My Journey Into Biking
Bender replied to Pegfiend's topic in CBT, Test and Advanced Training Information
Good luck with the new bike shopping, if you do buy the wrong one don't worry you can buy another once you know its the wrong one -
90% should be on posts that are still active and the other 10% should be used in real world problems. Brakes, use both to the maximum before they lock or buy a Honda with linked brakes and abs and stamp on everything.

Sorry I should have put people speeding on motorbikes im sure they have a dislike of any one speeding on anything, but the bikes do make the stats bad so you can see why they target them, looks like old people too, so if your old and on a bike and speeding you may never get out.
-
Maybe the following taken from swiss safety data is part of the reason behind the dislike of motorbikes, its basically making a rite mess of there stats,, i presume the bike stat ties in with the over represented rural accident stats

Speedy23 The evo 20 I have is great, the upad which is made for the hjc was a complete mare, I hope its not based on that

I find the jeans are a tad more normal when your out with non bike folk but you will use any excuse to use the bike.

I think that was meant for MR_W rather than me [/qMarkW Damn these NHS specs
-
MarkW I very much doubt you first child has cost you 30quid have you not been keeping receipts to bill them at 21 or is that just me. Good and bad folk in every role of life, mostly the NHS is great and gets more great the worse the accident. They did however almost end my sons life by transferring him in a normal patient transfer bus with burst appendics, they couldn't operate as it was too dangerous so decided to transfer, this was a 20mile journey in rush hour across a city, I got to the 2nd hospital before he did, minimum should have been full lights and a proper ambulance, I would have preferred a fooking helicopter as they deemed him so poorly to operate on. All was well In the end and it was probably an administrative error but you could see how it could have been much worse. I still think the NHS is great.

2 options 1 your instructor is a complete loon. 2 you need to wash your ears out and pay attention. As for some of the other stuff on this post, the bike turns according to the laws of physics and as has been said by Mississippi Bullfrog ye cana change the laws of physics, not even if your mates call you jim
-
Too far from me but I like there stuff.

I can weld you something but it will be heavy.

What he said, condition and being looked after is better than lower miles and probably more damage or issues that you don't know about yet

Broken odometer - have I been scammed?
Bender replied to danpaveley's topic in Old Motorbikes, Projects and Restorations
Yup check above, did you do an hpi check? It's unlikely to have 40k on it, I bought my cbf for 1k was a 2013, with low miles, sold it a year later for same You learn best from your own mistakes. -
@via that sucks, you could have strapped a cricket bat to your leg and fixed it quicker than them.
-
Nice cars, def underpowered especially for the grip they have, supercharger kit will solve all the performance issues Early ones rust and I think I still have a green hardtop for a mk2 lurking somewhere

More to the point if you found an old pack of bourbons that are 6 months out of date could you go back in time then eat them? But you couldn't take them back in time they would still be out of date, if you go back and eat them before you found them then you wouldn't find them in the future as you ate them before you found them.
