  1. Yep the one on my tracer felt heavier too but soon got used to it
  2. I think it's just the whole degrading quicker thing. I'd imagine in Germany if bikes are stored over winter they either put tank treatment in or drain them. I think people are just interested in what those who have had E10 for years have done. I've noticed no difference other than slightly more fuel consumption but only slightly.
  3. I use sustainable ethanol made from waste sugar beet in my burner in the extension gives a nice flame not much real heat but looks good. I buy in bulk I'll need some more soon I'm sure prices will have gone up as its more in demand in the UK now
  4. 2 positive points 1 you have vented off which is always part of dealing with things. 2 you have took the decision to leave her to her devices without your support. What goes round comes round I think and ultimately you can't help those who don't help themselves. I still have moments of anger when I think about how my ex did me over about 17yrs ago. Everything happens for a reason sure you are out of pocket but you have new clothes and 2 wheels and hopefully your health enjoy mate.
  5. I think E10 has been the norm in Europe for a lot longer. So interesting to see how those that have used it for some time have got on with winter storage
  6. Kevin strikes me as one of those neighbours that keeps you talking for ages and you walk off not really having a clue what he was on about but losing half an hour of your life
  7. Sales lazyness. Bit like when I got the wife's phone from currys PC World on a black friday deal the store promised to beat any high street or online deal no buts was their tag line. They couldn't but said they could if I go online etc here lies the reasons shops close.
  8. I put a post about this a little while ago. I'm sure they will make a go of it as it's run by mahindra. The heritage brands they have already launched like Jawa look good and they will be all electric too. If the quality and price are OK and good dealer support should do well and may outshine Royal Enfield who were shite when I had a few issues.
  9. That engine is a peach but as you say quality not quite there and the gearbox is clunky. I get the impression yamaha want to come in at a better price than the competition but it has a cost. Loved my tracer but having a Honda now I appreciate the extra attention to detail
  10. Love it I had a 250 in 1995 i had to sell it 3 years later to afford to rent my 1st flat in London still miss it. Used it all year round cared for it and it was immaculate. Hope you go on some great journeys on it
  11. That's an amazing story it's great you have the whistle my grandad was in the Worcesters in the 1st we have his cap he never talked about the war apparently he was badly Injured in the Somme and recovered to become a stretcher barer until the end of ww1. Had the queen's shilling and always told everyone never to volunteer to go to war. You can only try and imagine what their generation saw and what they had to deal with in their own heads afterwards. Sounds like your grandad was a real switched on gentleman.
  12. Sorry to resurrect an old thread but just looking for android phone recommendations. I'm getting my current android repaired and I've bought a Samsung a52s for my wife for her bday next week as she needs a new phone. What android phones does anyone out there recommend I'll probably replace mine in the spring and don't really want to pay over £300 I usually buy a phone and just pay a Monthly sim deal.
  13. Interesting to see the pricing of these. The trk502 gets quite good reviews Nathan the postman did a good review. Looks like it's a bigger market now the tenere, tuareg, with mv Augusta and moto morini releasing similar size models too. If I didn't 2 up tour these size bikes would be perfect for me.
  14. Broken phone screen is more than a challenge to type I've swapped over to the laptop now lol. I wish it was alcohol. Off to the shop later for a new phone screen!
  15. I think it's a lottery with the Chinese stuff especially from aliexpress sometimes you were lucky other times it got checked and you get stung and the carrier who delivers slaps an admin charge on too. Aliexpress have changed it now you pay the tax on it on purchase so not the lottery it was. There is some shite sold on there but some good stuff too and can't knock alipay any issues and they pay you back no quibble. Big fan of buying local where I can but also purchase from the far east especially if the retailer is putting a massive markup on the stuff
  16. Weather is always different in Dudley I live 5 miles from there in Stourbridge its like an odd microclimate in Dudley but then again Dudley is a bit odd in any case
  17. I did manage to bag a bargain with wife's new phone its her bday next week £140 off with black Friday and an extra 15%. I don't go mad as you say a lot of the prices ain't that good but there are the odd bargain out there
  18. Yes I was out in that mini blizzard then some rain and wind while riding home and a clear sky within 20 minutes when I got back
  19. Look great but I'm guessing by the spec that they won't be cheap.
  20. Looks great, the Beaufighter and Blenheim both ran from my local airfield Halfpenny Green during the war it was a navigational training airfield. I believe one Blenheim was gifted to the air cadets it was still airworthy and used for a couple of years. I loved the Mosquito who would think a wooden machine could travel so fast!
  21. Yes degreased the bike down including the chain it had picked up a lot of crud. I've tried the pdl stuff as it says it's not sticky and shouldn't fling I'll update when I've used it. I used to use the dry lube in the summer and gear oil in the winter as I wasn't convinced with the dry stuff in the wintery chain corroded on the tracer
  22. A few quid lighter after noticing a puncture I've now got a new tyre, they were hard to find for the Adventure sports AT. Bike all acf'd ready for winter
  23. Been working away in Glasgow for 16 days no chance to clean the bike before I went so had a deep clean today, cleaned the chain down and applied the pdl lube I purchased not sticky like other dry lubes I'll see if it lives up to its claims. I'll give the whole bike it's misting of acf50 tomorrow so it's all prepped for the winter! However looks like I have a nail or something similar in the rear tyre so I'll have to get that sorted this week while I'm off too how annoying.
  24. Looks amazing this and the vfr and rvf 400s were amazing, bikes I always wanted and still great to look at today!
