  1. Managed to give the AT a wash down, clean and lube the chain before the rain arrived! It's hooked up to the trickle charger in the garage for the next week whilst I go to Ireland
  2. Here's classic Walsall, Mr Singh after a bargain!
  3. A bargain great commuter and 1st bike
  4. Worth finding your nearest large used bike shop sitting on a few and finding out what type of bike suits you then seeing what's available. As said honda and any main decent jap brand used will hold its price and be reliable as long as you maintain it.
  5. I've had my adventure sports es manual for nearly 4 months now just over 2k miles on it and I have to say it's great. Does everything very well and so easy to ride. I opted for the plus model which comes with full panniers upper and lower engine bars centre stand aux lighting and loads of other bits. From commuting to 2 up touring is so capable. It's lower down the hho scale than a beemer or KTM but for me it's plenty. People moan about the controls being too complicated it doesn't take long to get used to them and the android auto works well. I miss my tracer 900s engine but wouldn't go back as it had too many nearly perfect niggles. Build quality is really good plenty of tech which is practical love the daylight running lights and cornering lights in the dark on country lanes it's perfect. With the 21" front wheel corners just need a little more preparation to get the right line. My only critici is the seat is a touch too hard but I'm getting used to it and unlike the tracer I don't slide forwards onto the tank on it and perfect pillion perch for my wife.
  6. I'd agree with Hoggs. I use mine every day for commuting and pleasure and spend a lot of time keeping it on good order. Still got a good trade in on my tracer 900 gt had 18k miles on it but was in great condition. It was only on the showroom for 2 weeks and gone. It's all about how well it's been maintained
  7. I've just ordered some pdl now I've nearly used up the rest of my rockoil dry lube which I'm not a great fan of but didn't want to waste it. I'll report back when I've cleaned the chain up and used it for a while we will see if it's worth the extra cost!
  8. I have the same helmet super comfy!
  9. I've took some great trips into Wales this year. I can't wait for the school holidays to end and the traffic to die down a little. On a good day I can travel out towards Wales from the Black Country and pretty much not have to stop for traffic from Ludlow to my destination. Great roads and scenery indeed!
  10. Nothing even remotely rational about biking I think that may be the appeal
  11. I purchased some honey from a girl at work her brother in law lives on Bristol Road South, Birmingham not far from Edgbaston cricket ground. Lovely honey and for a fiver well worth it! Nice to buy local quality produce
  12. Awful sorry to hear that and he works to pay for his bike which I'm sure is essential!
  13. Out of all the Chinese brands zontes seem to have some of the better build quality I liked the look of the 310s when they came out well finished. The new 125s look great too.
  14. Found this at a job yesterday one careful owner I'm sure!
  15. Less than 5 months in with my new garage and 'er indoors' had already started dumping shite in there! It does happen
  16. Remember if it's a new bike too everything takes a bit of time to settle in. Not knocking your lexmoto but its only as good as the person who put it together. The correct oils can make a difference too. Might be worth getting to know your bike by doing oil changes and some maintenance yourself
  17. I'd certainly be interested in one of your tours towards the end of the summer I'll drop you an email !
  18. I don't miss working in Smethwick some interesting driving there. I work in Birmingham now but been working from home since November, my first day back today. I'm lucky I work in Bournville and from my home I miss the crappy bits out and use the lanes through Frankley and past the reservoir so relatively nice for Birmingham !
  19. A ride over to the touchdown cafe at wellesbourne in a little while brother tagging along in his Morgan 3 wheeler
  20. I'm looking at both those ideas, the rock oil chain wax I've got isn't great I must be honest. I prefer using an oil in the winter when the weather is cruddy but the rock oil stuff isn't great
  21. Maybe a vstrom 1000 very capable bike with a proven engine plenty out there. Here's an example Look at this on eBay https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Suzuki-DL1000-V-Strom-16100-miles-/133792167811?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0
  22. No a bit further north halfpenny green in South staffs. A popular stop off for the AAC in their Apaches it has a nice cafe and it's off the beaten track only a small airfield. I dunno what they were up to but a few men in black transferring boxes from a Peugeot to the dauphins
  23. This one seems to be holding up okay!
