  1. Ill agree there just come back from 16 days working there accomodation and food provided by work was not great but getting out there some great people and eateries. Oh and the pubs were amazing too!
  2. I put this stuff down in march easy to lay and cut and no hassle my brother has tried prepping and painting and flaked after a year. This is not more expensive than resin and no subsequent maintenance. I use a checker plate pad under the stand but even with sudestand down directly on the floor it's fine. Made from recycled plastic. https://garagefloorsdirect.co.uk/diamond-checker-durbar-floor/
  3. Its a case of shopping around with pets. We have to travel a little bit more to our vets instead of the local one but we have a policy with the vet rather than a company it doesn't cover everything ie the medication bit they normally tell us if it's cheaper to buy from petdrugsonline who are good and deliver within 2 days. Our mutt is 15 and they are really good and doesn't cost us masses. Pet insurance just got silly otherwise
  4. Bizarrely I noticed this article about e scooters today. I wouldn't fancy hitting a pot hole at 70 on this Safety fears rise as e-scooter's with speeds of up to 72mph are sold https://mol.im/a/10121683 via http://dailym.ai/android
  5. The super socos seem quite decent but the range is still an issue I'm sure they will develop in the coming years. Its a good sales ploy to drip feed improved range to keep people upgrading! We have some nissan leafs at work the originals had lousy range the amusement in the winter of having to switch the heater and any ancillaries off to get back to base!
  6. I have neighbours that do the usual "want to wash my car" when I'm cleaning the bike. I reply with the same sarcastic laugh every time. The one neighbour who doesn't work used to keep telling me I have too many days off, the swift response of "not as many as you" has resulted in him if Ignoring me now so job done there!
  7. Yes that did lower it a bit I believe. I can't complain it's not cheap but with the spec level it came in at a good price compared to a beemer or KTM. Bikes are horses for courses but it's easy to maintain in terms of the basics so far reliable and does everything I need really well. I was amazed how good it was fully loaded at 2 up touring. The OEM tyres have been quite good I swapped out the ones on my Tracer early doors as they were not great in the wet.
  8. I'm guessing from your posts your not a fan of Honda's or this particular engine

  10. I'm sure the CB will be just fine for you. There are plenty of mods available and rally raid kits to upgrade if you need to.
  11. Public services jobs are just a paycheque now I'm afraid it's frustrating at best and depressing at worst trying to do your job. Too much meddling, selective press scrutiny which equals not being able to effectively do a job
  12. Hows your new ride?
  13. Enjoy and take it easy!
  14. Looks great hope you like it and had a nice blast out this afternoon!
  15. Give them a call and tell them they may as well pay you a few quid for the privilege
  16. I had a conker off the head the other day scared the shit out of me. I wouldn't mind so much but the same tree got me 2 weeks previous with another conker!
  17. Normally echinacea tablets help me boost my immune system up worth giving them a go it didn't help me this time tho!
  18. Make sure you celebrate with a drink or 2 later!
  19. Its got a bigger nose than my ex, I used to say "er's got a right beak on her"
  20. Looks a lot more beaky than the 502 but by all accounts the 502 is a good bike v interesting
  21. Thanks mate yes it is now it's a little just a snotty nose now, I'm asthmatic so it don't help. I have to say my GPs have been surprisingly brilliant. Picked up a heart murmur a swift ECG and a cardiac referral so at least they are on top of that. Roll on the summer and warm weather Stay safe and warm everyone
  22. Interesting to see your thoughts I came from a tracer 900gt to the Twin I have the adventure sports es manual. Yes the tracer is an amazing bike sublime engine. However for 2 up touring fully loaded the tracer wasn't really up to it, suspension although I adjusted it front and rear was never up for 2 up touring. The weight limit was quite low I'm quite tall and average weight so is the wife. The AT was so easy to get used to lots of tech and suspension is really spot on I notice no difference with 2 up touring and a touch of the screen the suspension can be altered. It's a true packhorse with the weight it can carry. It was a big step up in price 18k bike but it does everything commute, fun blasts out touring. I intend to keep this one as it's a perfect fit, I have the plus model the panniers and top box are large and fit everything in, the 24.5l tank means I can get up to 350 miles between fills, ancillary lights the DRLs and cornering lights make it great on country Lanes at night and in bad weather. The AS model is more road orientated but fine on gravel and sandy tracks. For me it does all I need however if I was solo riding the Tracer would have been perfect. Yamaha really need to consider an adventure sports 900 model for that engine with no super tenere now they are missing out on a big chunk of the market. The 700 has proved it's worth in the tenere, tracer xsr and mt07.
