  1. If you mean McQueen just have a Google his girlfriends have been quite candid about it- after they got away.
  2. Hehehe Just the usual tea but I have run out of chocolate
  3. Well back in the in the day they were less likely to have a carefully cultivated public image destroyed by the internet. They only had to look good in photos and give the occasional pre-scripted interviews with friendly journos who won’t print anything detrimental so McQueens wife beating was never news and people got to carry on worshipping ie paying for their idols. I was gutted when I heard what an ultra right wing ahole John Wayne was but then I discovered in common with most right wingers he was a moron
  4. What’s Paul Newman done wrong? Apart from venture into the world of overpriced poor quality sauces?!
  5. Depends on the cost of paying someone else and the difficulty. I know how much I earn an hour doing other stuff and what my spare times worth to me so if it’s time consuming unless it’s something I fancy having a go at I’ll hand it over to someone else BUT only if I think they’re competent which is far more of an obstacle than the other two things I’ve mentioned.
  6. And that is the difference between tradesmen you tell everyone about and have back and the ones you want to throttle with your bare hands!
  7. Yer and disappointingly is often much worse. Sometimes simple things like using a level don’t even get done. My driveway has been in need of redoing for donkeys. There’s lots of loose gravel from disintegrating tarmac that make it a pig to turn a bike on but the idea of finding someone to tarmac it fills me with such horror it’s stays as it is!
  8. Yer better speakers are a popular upgrade. It still sucks for the money they don’t supply good speakers to start with. Have discovered the connected to another rider sound quality is good so long as you stay really close. Too close for my liking. Not from a safety point of view but for overtaking, if you get too far ahead you then have to dawdle about waiting for them the catch up or you have to listen to cracking n popping noises.
  9. This is just my experience so brace brace for a barrage of abuse but carpenters don’t seem the same as other trades. I think this is cos if you don’t know the craft and are bodging bast*rd looking to cut corners you wouldn’t choose that area. Where as a basic knowledge of DIY can set you up in many other areas with no questions asked.
  10. Won’t be a popular opinion so I’m gonna say it and run- Steve McQueen might have looked cool but he was an ar*ehole wife beater.
  11. Oh cos the email says all prices discounted to 30% ?!?!? Heyho so long as you’re happy.
  12. @learningtofly bit off topic but Motolegends just sent out an email 30% off helmets. Might be worth ringing them and asking if they’ll still do that for you Wednesday and if not order the helmet online at the discounted price and take it back to the store on your appt day to switch it if it doesn’t fit.
  13. If you have more than one maybe seek medical attention.
  14. Some BMWs do have short stands. First 9T test ride I had that moment of horror I was about to drop the bike but no it was just a short side stand. There was also a small hole the piddly side stand end had found its way into so the combo of that and the short stand meant I couldn’t get it upright. I was in the middle of god knows where in Wales thinking about how embarrassing it was going to be ringing the dealer and saying “Hi umm my hopelessly-skinny-can't-lift-for-toffee-crappy-butler-weed arms can’t get the bike upright, where am I? Umm I dunno” Pushed the bike upright then got on- phew. Bought a 9T and immediately lengthened the sidestand since then I have dropped it in front of an audience and embarrassment meant my kermit arms were suddenly capable of flinging the bike upright with one hand so it’s all in the mind The RE Himalayan side stand on the other hand is far too long and cannot be used in some settings cos a slight breeze would have the bike over.
  15. Lovely view, can see why you go there. Any chance of doing 5-10 min versions for people who’s attention span has been reduced to goldfish size by the inter... ooh shiny...
  16. Got ur bike back yet? Or is that tomorrow? I can’t remember.
  17. Hehehe Watching someone riding with tetanus might be more entertaining
  18. I went for that hook line n sinker, cracked me up We need a double like button for stuff thats above average!
  19. But it’s ok to ride with a non contagious bacterial infection?
  20. Yep fingers crossed. Unfortunately some events that happen earlier in the year may well get stung next year as well. Keep us posted.
  21. They recommend leaving it 24hrs after washing before doing the ACF50. Fat lot of help that knowledge is to you now but there we go.
  22. @learningtofly good choice, you definitely need another black open face helmet to add to your otherwise colourful collection
  23. Also while you’re there could you try on this for me and if it’s a good fit then wear the new helmet n sneak it into the helmet box. Cheers, you’re a diamond.
