  1. I've got gear that zips together and stuff that doesn't. The stuff that does, I do zip together as I find it stops drafts up my back and keeps the rain out. The stuff that doesn't- mostly my summer kit - I obviously don't zip together and I don't worry about it from the safety point of view. I'm not dogmatic about it!
  2. Bummer Rennie. Better luck next time.
  3. How many drivers even bother to use the bloody things?
  4. Don't mind quality crisps but peanut butter - devil's glop imo. And combined in a sarnie? Pass the sick bag!
  5. Sounds sensible.
  6. The BMW (X2?) that decided it would be a good idea to stop half way up Sutton Bank with queue of traffic behind him. I found myself stationary on the apex of the first hairpin desperately trying to lean the wrong way to avoid dropping my bike. No real drama but FFS why stop?!
  7. Rode it home from Barnard Castle but decided to do it a bit differently. Went via Beverley and the Humber Bridge which were firsts for me. Then to Oakham and on to home via back roads. Interesting but slow. A tad over 300 miles took 7 hours actual riding time. Also had to stop every 90 minutes to de-bug my visor.
  8. Apparently he had previous and had been a "subject of concern ".
  9. No bacon though!
  10. Sadly he has been and has reportedly been "humanely euthanized " whatever that means.
  11. Hope the Just Stop Oil nutters keep out of your way.
  12. Very tasty indeed. My son in law has one and also likes it very much.
  13. As I remember from last year its a simple on line process with an easily available English version. Below link takes you where you need. www.certificat-air.gouv.fr/demande Doesn't cost a lot and worth having in the event of any unplanned event.
  14. I had one of those but unfortunately managed to bust my screen and lost my sticker. If I go to France again I'll have to reapply.
  15. Have to agree you with if I'm on the bike I'd rather ride than sightsee. My only stops are usually for food / drink and the loo. Sounds like you're doing a lot of riding!
  16. Must have been rape to produce something that abominable.
  17. Bloody hell. Midges are just annoying. Horse flies hurt!
  18. You can have a very good night out in Portsmouth particularly in the Old Town.
  19. God no! Has the style of a Portsmouth whore on Navy Day.
  20. Decided to go for a bimble. Went up to Hermitage Castle via Kielder. Came back by way of Carter Bar. Hermitage Castle.Kielder Visitor Centre See where Gerontious is coming from about not going out on Sunday. There were tons of bikes out and all the decent places for coffee and food were rammed. Good ride though.
  21. Don't know if you've been to Colmar but worth a visit.
  22. I've got a Ducati albeit not an exotic one and it's been a peach of a bike for over 25,000 miles. Not been high maintenance at all.
  23. Sorry but according to Highway code etc a learner MUST not carry a pillion passenger at any time. Quote Laws RTA 1988 sect 23, MV(DL)R 1999 reg 16(6) & CUR 1986 reg 102 Unquote
