  1. Swanning round Vigo eating lots of fish and drinking lots of wine.
  2. I'd be too busy running to film!
  3. Trying to get my wife ready to depart for our holiday. I'm sure launching a space shuttle must be easier. Dare not say anything as the rage heaped upon my head would be awesome.
  4. About bloody time.
  5. Preparing to fly out to northern Spain on Friday. No bike unfortunately .
  6. My vote is the biker's being a bit of a knob. Sympathy yes but come on. He must have seen the bus coming!
  7. Sadly not for me as I'll be at sea.
  8. Trundling back down the motorways to home. Had thought of doing a more interesting route but can't leave Morpeth before 1300 and the forecast is more bloody rain. Doesn't matter whether I go east or west of the Pennines its still wet.
  9. Yet another confirmation of why I do the job I do. I hate bloody commuting and I've only done it for3 days. Today's the last fortunately but to all you commuters - you have my deepest condolences.
  10. I hate having to do "refresher" courses which at £500 a pop aren't cheap either. Every 5 years and it's the same old shit. I'm doing the bloody job so wtf I need refresher courses I don't know. Plus it's on my own time too. Grrr.
  11. Wot? You still use cash? How primitive. Seriously down my way some places it's really hard to.use cash which is kind of annoying and as for the Scottish fiver I've got its like trying to spend monopoly money.
  12. Rode to Northumberland but unfortunately mostly on motorway as I needed to be there ASAP.
  13. Survived the grandchildren, enjoyed the food and son and I demolished bottle of 12yo rum. That took Sunday to recover. Now in Morpeth after another boring thrash up the motorways of England.
  14. Son and family staying for the weekend. Food, booze and grandchildren.
  15. My nob of the day is Vision Express. Sent a pair of specs I for re-glazing on 31st March. Still waiting and after been fobbed off repeatedly turns out they cocked up the sizing. Wouldn't mind so much if they hadn't done the same job in a week 15 months ago. Won't be using them for this in future.
  16. Totally pissed off with this weather. Finally get the bike good to go and its raining - again. Swear to god it's been raining for 5 days out of 7 since I got home. Bloody hate this weather.
  17. If a steak doesn't bleed onto the plate when cut it's a piece of leather. That one of Tiggie's looks pretty decent. Medium rare is the most well done I'll accept. Made a fuss once in a restaurant when I got a well done (dried out and horrible) steak in error and ended up with a free bottle of wine and a replacement properly cooked steak.
  18. Don't think we've had a competent government since 1945.

TBH in the first vid - why? I'd be leary walking that track never mind taking a bike on it! Maybe I'm just a wuss. As to the second I'd not like to see the insurance claim.
  20. Had the michelin P6's fitted. Seem pretty good and are now scrubbed in having had a run up to Burford and back. £361 fitted which isn't that bad given the eye-watering price in the first place. Now fettled for a run up to Northumberland as I've a course next week in Shields.
  21. Looks like my daily work routine.
  22. Bit of a damp squib really. Heard a bit of a squeak in my pocket and when inspected the phone had the message. Not exactly what the press had been hyping. As for advising of an imminent nuclear attack: Option 1 if at home - break out the best booze and drink as much as you can. Option 2 for anywhere else - put your head between your knees and kiss your ass good bye.
  23. Absolutely true. When the tip used to take tyres you never or rarely saw tyres in the hedgerows. Now it's almost every time I'm out. So now either the land owner has to or more likely the council anyway gets stuck with the costs. Daft.
  24. Worse than nobs I'd say! Complete dick heads.
