  1. Now that would tick me off a bit. No wonder wild bees are under threat with the spray everything mob on the rampage. Rivers are also in a dire mess due to excessive phosphate runoff from over fertilised fields.
  2. Scott's place in Barnard Castle is about 10 min walk from my daughter's place. Sadly I'm past the age (and shape) for leathers other than a jacket.

Halvarssons do it for me. Rode in some dire weather and never got wet apart from rain getting down my neck a bit.
  4. Can't wait to get home, pick my bike up from its kennels and take a very random ride home just for the hell of it. I have no problems with motivation to ride a motorbike bike. Household chores zero motivation.
  5. My home area. A while back there where so many 747's at Kemble they were complaining there was no space. Chopped them quite fast.
  6. Did nothing myself but son in law rebuilt my rear brake.
  7. Making sure this lot gets done properly at the moment. To be fair not doing a bad job unlike their technical department which we are calling Casanova on account of everything they touch they f**k.
  8. I carry a Gerber multitool all the time anyway.
  9. Last time I rode that route, as I passed the "Welcome to Scotland" sign the heavens opened. Wish I was there raining or not.
  10. Praying to get out of this hell hole as per schedule on July 1st.
  11. As written elsewhere - Dynaplug - which in my case comes with a compressor that plugs into my bikes socket and works pretty well. The whole package fits under my seat.
  12. If I have to cook in the outdoors I use a Trangea. Small, lightweight and not particularly explosive!
  13. We all have our little foibles. Not many motorbikes class as sensible really. Certainly Mrs SW'ly doesn't think they are!
  14. Have to say tubed tyres would be a no no for me these days.
  15. Good evening, hydroblasting all the crap off - day 2 of 4 so going well.
  16. The so-called engineer who advised us he'd knock off the aircon for 2 hours around 0700 when it was cool. 10 hours later we still have none. Its 30+ outside and a gas tight accommodation has zero natural ventilation so it's utterly vile inside. 35 C and not a breath of air and 88% humidity. Outside its cooler and more pleasant apart from the shot blasting, hydroblasting and general racket plus you have to wear a safety helmet and a covid muzzle or get on the spot fine of $300. I hate this bloody place.
  17. I've got a Dynaplug kit. Touchwood I've never used it but it's a comfort to have.
  18. Good night from China where after nearly a month we have squeezed into a dry dock.
  19. Happy birthday and who flounced? Like a good flounce.
  20. Well it's a lousy rotten day here in China where yet again its pissing down. No progress made and forecast is more of the same for next 4 days.
  21. Que? I missed something? Haven't got a composter and fairly sure I haven't shipped one. Don't think they pump very well. Delayed yes, more rain, more delays and some f**kwit chopped the power to half the ship when fiddling with a retrofit. Another one welded two items in place which are supposed to be removable. If I had drink I'd be driven to it.
  22. Sounds not bad.
  23. You want to try and be in China mate. Full restrictions and a total pain in the arse.
  24. Motorcycles helmets have a lot more thought and design put into them than life jackets. They are also designed with a degree of fashion appeal unlike lifejackets. Both will help keep you alive in certain specific circumstances.
