I've got a TomTom 550 and provided you've downloaded the updates it will show you the speed cameras as you approach them. Obviously it doesn't show the mobile ones.

Don't know about that, when I had an offshore sailing boat there were some pretty eye-watering purchases, especially sails but other kit too. As for life jackets I had a 275 N one which was inflatable and not cheap. Whenever we left an anchorage or harbour I wore it and it was habit. I used to spend about £200 a year just on antifouling. The main reason I got shot of it once I was only using it for 3-4 weeks a year was it cost me about 5k a year and it became not worthwhile.

In good old days when I were a lad at college in South Shields a little shite was getting his kicks slashing tyres. Cops actually caught him and he got 6 months in Deerbolt (juvenile nick). In those days cops weren't as fluffy as today.

My wife's just flown back from France where she hired a car. UK driving licence no problem. To fly all she needed was proof of vaccination in last 9 months. Has travel insurance which covers medical issues.

My 2017 model bike is okay for all of them so far. Expect a surge in cloned number plates and innocent people getting bills for non-payment!

Good afternoon from another miserably wet day in China. 4 dry days in 15 and its playing holy hell with repair schedule. Earliest completion is early July which means FA chance of getting home before middle of July. Totally pissed off.

Whenever I'm home my bike lives outside under a cover. When I'm away it is kept in my daughter's garage.

Very true. And of course on the TT if you lose it you are almost inevitably going to get hurt as there's nearly always something you are going to hit hard.

Much as I like the TT the cost of 5 deaths this year is a steep price to pay, especially for the families involved.

Jusy about any weather, any time. Don't care. Won't start in snow or actual iced up roads. Good gear makes it doable though.

According to official government statistics the pass rate for both Mod 1 and 2 is about 70% - this does not unfortunately differentiate between first timers or repeat candidates. Rumour from folks running bike training is that it's a rare candidate who sails through both first time. Try it and see then tell us how easy it is.

I get about 200 miles from a 20 litre tank. I don't ride with fuel economy in mind, I ride for fun. My work ride does about 55 tons per 24 hours.

Both my son and son in law reckoned the Mod 1 was harder than the Mod 2. When we used some kicking tees to mark out a slalom and Mod 1 u turn in an empty car park I found it surprisingly difficult to negotiate the slalom. Got it in the end but wouldn't like to do it under pressure!

Place near Shanghai and apart from covid restrictions its not bad. Busy though.

Nothing! Planned 10 year docking and second special survey. Plus installation of new mandatory equipment. Bit like having your bike serviced but a bit longer and more expensive!

Long month ahead. "Berthed" to a raft of ships as outer ship of 4 and no cranes will reach so having to use a floating one. Rain stopped as we came in so I got sunburnt instead of damp. Mental afternoon and likely to continue for next 30 days. Whoopee doo.
