  1. CBT expires after 2 years, along with the theory test, so unless you take tests 1&2 (and pass) within those 2 years you will have to start again. This applies to both mopeds and motorcycles
  2. Are they biscuits that get away with stuff?
  3. Digital could be digits, or fingers, so Cadbury's chocolate fingers
  4. It's worse for me, @Trooper74, as I wear a balaclava type thing under my helmet
  5. The heads rounded, and was hard to undo. I don't want to find I can't undo it on next oil change
  6. Nothing worse than coughing or sneezing while wearing a crash helmet. I've had to use the bike twice now while suffering with this bug, and starting to sneeze whilst amongst traffic is not good
  7. That's one way of winning, nick the phone boxes
  8. I'm torn between chocolate hobnobs or chocolate digestives
  9. The possibilities are endless, just limited by one's imagination, but I think its a wadgamacallit, from a thingummybob
  10. There should be no detectable play between little end and the pin, but it should be able to slide through the little end without dragging/catching on anything
  11. You do not need to tell DVLA the bike is restricted, and really, unless you get caught doing stupid speeds or the bike is not legal to be on the road the police generally won't bother you, however, if you crash/cause an RTC and it can be proven high speed was the main factor your insurance could be voided. Depending on how the bike is restricted can also help, as if the restriction has been done by the dealer via restrictors in the inlets there should be a certificate issued. My cb500r was restricted via washers in the carb inlets and I had a certificate stating the outcome, 33bhp at rear wheel, iirc

  13. @Stu hiding from angry forum members after forum going down?
  14. @Stu's bike gone AWOL?
  15. No, still puzzled
  16. I'm 62, been on bikes since I reached 17,yet occasionally I have to get my helmet off really quick, as I feel closed in, yet I have never been claustrophobic, so don't let it get to you
  17. Hi @Ian Frog, David Silver does not seem to cover spares for my bike, maybe its too modern, but his system does not recognise the model. Hello @oldgrump, I might try see what I can find using that old part number. I don't want to remove the plug unless I have a replacement, plus I've not long done an oil and filter change which is how I discovered the head was damaged and it had been done up way too tight so I struggled to undo it, so don't want the mess
  18. I often wonder how we would manage without such helpful insights from admin
  19. I'm sure I've seen on here that someone else has a cbf600sa. Mine needs a new oil drain plug/sump bolt, as it was done up so tight the head got slightly rounded off undoing it so I need a replacement. The problem I have is the plugs on all the parts Web sites I've seen show it as a 12mm bolt, 1.5 pitch, 14mm head, but my bolt has a 12mm head, so is possibly a 10mm thread. If you have a cbf600sa can you check your bolt size for me? A dealer I spoke to yesterday is not a approved Honda dealer so only got the same result I had, though someone there did suggest the bike could have a replacement aftermarket sump

When I started work I could not take the job I applied for without joining the union, the AUEW. I argued that it was the firm employing me, not the union, so refused. In the end I compromised and joined, but on the proviso I would not take part in industrial action of any kind, unless it concerned safety issues. My 3rd year there, after a protracted issue over a wage rise, the union members agreed, across the board, to a 2.5% increase and a change to the piecework scheme, and in my role that meant I could triple my wage. Two weeks into the new wage the toolroom walked out, because the disparity in wages between them (skilled) and us (semi/unskilled) had closed too much, so we all suffered because they threw their toys out the pram They ended up with a rise, cos we could not function without the toolroom, but 6 months later the firm started laying off staff cos they could not afford the wage bill and increasing prices signed the death knell for us so everyone lost their job
  23. Just saw an article about approx 65 "bikers" (I'm using the term lightly) block busy junction in Birmingham, then hurl abuse at other traffic and pull stupid stunts like wheelies before splitting into 2 groups and leaving. TWATS!
  24. I had a Barbour waxed cotton bike jacket a few years ago. It was waterproof due to the wax, but it got flies and other crap stuck to it every time I went out in it

I read yesterday that they were turned down for a £140 million Covid relief package because they had just paid out £200 million in dividends. I'm sure someone on here will come up with a new meaning for P+O
