Love my blaster, useful for drying allsorts including the dogs it’s intended for! Be careful around the chain, if your not paying attention it’s easy to blast oil off the chain onto the bike- annoying if you’ve just finished washing it. Thanks for that bit of advice Sounds like it’s got some power

Number 81 please -
I’ve never been to a live gig. Never been my thing. I have however bought me and the Mrs tickets to see Bon Jovi at Wembley next year. (Millions of Brownie points scored) She is a massive fan and has seen them 7 times. I like most of their popular songs and have now been tasked to learn the words to the rest of their stuff I nearly got a black eye when I looked at the tickets and stated “Nice one! The Manic Street Preachers are supporting” Apparently I sounded more enthusiastic about seeing them....

The company I work for has a Christmas shut down every year for a week. I took 3 shifts holiday so finished last Sunday 16th @ 6pm. I start back on night shifts on the 2nd & 3rd then 4 off.

The Prodigy’s new Album They are now where near as good as they used to be, i always listen to their new stuff at least once in the hope they have a gem in there. I have been disappointed since their hay days. Still, Keith has to keep the money coming in to fund his motorbike race teams, so it can’t be a bad thing.

I’ve lost a bit of weight so my Rukka Armaxion trousers are a bit ‘loose’ on me now. So I’ve bought some new ones. They are a size 50 which is supposed to be a 34” waist. I am down to a 32” and can adjust the waistband to fit so I would say 32” to 34”. The length is Short as I’m a 29” inseam. They still have just 2 years and 10 months garment warranty. An a lifetime leak guarantee by Gore-Tex. (Shorty will be able to correct me if I’m wrong with this info) This is in my name and I don’t know if it can be transferred? They are in excellent condition. An internet search will tell you all you need to know about these pants. I will get some photos up at the weekend once they have been washed and are looking their best. I want £250 including tracked postage to UK only This is an absolute bargain as I’ve looked on eBay and there are 2 pairs on there and the asking price is over £300 for each listing. If no interest in here they will be going on EBay.

Enjoy. I had the MT09 Tracer new back in 2015. Owned it for 2 years before chopping it in for the Versys 1000GT. Went to Germany on it in 2015. Covered exactly 2000 miles door to door in 8 days. Never missed a beat.

I don’t get on with them. I’ve owned them 3 year but up until recently have been a fair weather rider. I’ve been commuting to work because my new role requires I come off shifts for 8 weeks onto days. This means I’ve had to jump out of my car share and do Mon-Fri. I travel over the Humber Bridge 5 times a week. Bikes are not charged a toll, this saves me £60 a month on tolls. Also my bike is 20mpg more economical than my car. There is also a massive development planned for the A63 that will take a planned 5 years. The road I have to use to get me into Hull and to work. So I’m also seriously thinking about getting a big scooter so I can filter more easily and coming out of my car share permanently. That’s the long answer. I’ve bought myself a new pair of gloves. That’s the short answer. https://www.themotorbikeforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=68309

That’s weird about the Richa Cold Protect’s. 2 people out of 3 are happy at temperatures lower than I experienced. The Imatra’s are amazing! I would expect anything less from Rukka though. 2 days in. They were immediately comfortable and will only get better once bedded in (which I think will only take 3 or 4 more times) The weather has been very mild over that last two mornings with the lowest being 7º so the jury is still out for cold weather performance. I will say that as they are slightly thinner than the Richa’s the heat from the grips penetrates better and so I can have them on a lower setting. I think I’ll be able to wear these for 3 seasons. I’ll update in a month or so. -
Any dash cam advice most welcome

I spoke to someone that owns one of these and he had nothing but praise for it. Directly wired to the bike so always on. https://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&source=hp&ei=vmbLW5qdEObKrgSpn7ewDg&ins=false&q=roadhawk+motorcycle+camera&oq=road+hawk+mo&gs_l=mobile-gws-wiz-hp.1.1.35i304i39j0i13l2j0i13i30l2.1644.12911..14497...5.0..0.160.1605.9j7......0....1.......5..0j46j35i39j46i67j0i131j46i39j0i67j0i20i263j46i20i263j0i10j0i22i10i30.SK9BGPRICAM#pie=plaji-i -

Not from what I’ve experienced raesewell Have a read of my post above, or below depending on your forum settings They have been good (if not a little bulky) for 3 years. I’ve obviously not been ridding in properly cold weather..?? -

Wind chill at speed = take 20º away from actual temperature. Something like that. I have been commuting recently on the bike the first time ever and it was down to 4º the other morning. My commute is a 64 mile round trip and 62 miles is all 70mph dual carriageway. I have a pair of Richa Cold Protect gloves which are gore tex and have thinsulate lining. and even with hand guards and Oxford heated grips on about 60% the ends of my fingers and thumbs were getting painful. I’ve just ordered a pair of Rukka Imatra gloves that have Outlast lining in them. It was a toss up between those and the Rukka R-Star 2-in-1 but the little finger bridge on the former won it for me. -

Anyone know what this is?

If the bike has been butchered to fit, I imagine it’s not for that exact model. The MT09 Tracer I had cane with a warning not to use a top box. The sub frame is not designed for it. That’s why you see the new Tracer GT without one. -

I’ve had my Shoei Neotec for nearly 3 years. Just a plain white one. I love it. It’s been fantastic this summer. As soon as I get into traffic or 30-40mph zones the front comes up so I get the air straight in my face which keeps me cool. It’s a fairly quiet lid to boot. I have a SENA 20S attached and listen to music on my phone the vast majority of the time or sometimes the radio. Even though is a smidge on the heavy side compared to my old HJC RPHA10+ the added features such as the flip up and the internal dark visor outweighs this. The vents are good too, although when opened creates a little more wind noise but I trade that for having a cooler head. The pin lock does its job the same as any other pin lock. I’m going to wait until I spot the Neotec 2 in the sale and go for one. I believe it has 3 shell sizes which could save me some weight as I’m a small size and the original Neotec only comes in 2 shell sizes. Al in all, it’s a quality lid. -
My glasses process was similar Take off glasses Balance them on the bike Take helmet off Realise glasses are now on the floor Pick up glasses and put them on Realise I can see through them cos they are now covered in crap Wipe them on my t-shirt. I’ve not done that yet A mate who I ride with a lot has lost 3 pairs in 2 years. He has a habit of taking them off and resting them on his handlebars. He forgets they are there after a rest stop and just puts his lid on. He obviously only needs them for distance.
