  1. Session 3. "> Although I felt I was getting quicker, so was everyone else lol My aim of the day was build my confidence up on the corners that I feel I've lost. I wasn't the slowest out there and there were a few that definitely were not novices. I kept things within my comfort zone while I learned the track and quickly found the parts I liked and didn't like. I didn't like Barn or Charlies and feel I never got them right all day. Also couldn't always get the approach right to gooseneck. I also found out that I love left handers! I felt that I was leaning more on the right's than the left's but my tyres told me otherwise. Only 3-4 mm not used on the left, but about a cm not used on the right. I will defo be looking at going again next year. Too many bills for the remainder of this year
  2. I managed to get the fist session recorded and I have some of the 3rd session (rear facing) which I'm sorting out. Here 20 mins of your life you'll never get back. Red flagged too Two came off. No one hurt ">
  3. Great photo's Better than the one's my mate took lol I'm just sorting out video footage. The cam is fooked. Turns itself off after a couple of mins. I have no idea why it's suddenly developed this problem!
  4. Brilliant day! Couldn't have asked for better weather. We hung out with a couple of guys that we got talking to for the day which made it even better in my opinion. Waiting for my mate to send me the pics he took and I'll them up. Great shot cockercas
  5. Only me and cockercas by the looks of it Stu. See you there.
  6. Then Sportsbikeshop have a load of AVG's at discount prices at the moment http://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/default ... =ML-180714
  7. yeah it will depend on who is running it and what day it is I reckon as weekends it will be a lifted limit usually they go for a 105 db limit which most bikes wont make that with a race can! It's with MSVT who own the track I think and you're right, it's 105db. I'm OK I have a standard can on.
  8. I'm riding. Only way I'll get the bike there lol. It's only about 40 mins from mine.
  9. I've got a mate coming down to spend the day. He's bringing his car so I can bring some stuff. This is my first day on my own bike and have been looking on the net for tips. I am bringing a cheapo gazebo -6' square Torque wrench and sockets - as I've read that the chain might need adjusting sometime in the day Oil - I've read that the bike may need a top up 2 jerry cans full of fuel. Louth petrol station is not too far if needs must. Tape for the indies lights and mirrors Bottles of water and food to keep hydrated and energy levels up. There is a shop at Cadwell, but it's expensive. a couple of folding chairs. Trainers - Don't fancy being in my boots all day. Pressure gauge -Tyres need to be lower for the track Pump Cash & Credit /Debit Card I can't think of anything else at the mo
  10. Congratulations to both of you.
  11. I've just picked up a pair of PR2s from into bikes for £155 with £4.99 delivery. Both made this year and fantastic tyres.
  12. I finish work at 5 and can be the there for 6ish if you want a fresh pair of eyes?
  13. Sounds like you are either looking down to the left or looking left. Look well ahead before pulling away
  14. Great news!! I'm really pleased you are making progress. If you feel you want to get the instructor/school something then do just that. It doesn't matter if you are the only person ever to do it, I'm sure the recipient/s will be chuffed. It confirms to them they are doing a good job and it is appreciated.
  15. My missus used to come on the back of my CBR6F a lot. Now I have the RR I can't get her on it. I got a grab rail for her but she said she doesn't feel safe. I think yours is a similar seating position.
  16. I've been quoted £67 by MCE. I rang them the other day as I read on the net that they were doing free track day ins on all fully comp policies. They are, but only started doing it in June. 3 months after I took the policy grrrr. I don't know the ins and outs yet, but am thinking about it. It all depends on the excess etc.
  17. I've got myself into the group this afternoon. I won't get any discount as I paid the £89 quid. Looks like they've inflated the prices to cover the discount they are giving. Crafty Barstewards!
  18. Makes sense. I did open the bleed nipple and let a bit of fluid out. Obviously not enough. I think this will be my next job tomorrow. Thanks
  19. I've just put my be pads in tonight and had a bit of trouble pushing the pistons in on the left calliper. Right calliper of pins and pads out. A good squirt of brake cleaner, soft bristle toothbrush scrubbed over pistons then pushed in. New pads and pins back in and calliper back no probs. Left calliper off pins and pads out, spray of cleaner. Push one piston in then push it's twin in and the first one pops back out. I don't gave a proper tool for pushing the pistons back in, but the right calliper had no issues. Anyway I got a bit of wood and pushed one pair in. Pushed the opposite pair in and the first pair came back out. Took me ages to get them out enough so I had enough room to get the new pads over the disk. Can someone in the know tell me the cause of this? Do I have dodgy seals on that side or something else? Thanks in advance
