    Bike storage

Have you sorned it or will you keep the insurance up to date, i would drain the fuel tank unless you plan on running it on a weekly basis, but a word of caution if doing that it won't do the battery any good also the oily bits still need to be oiled rubber will dry out if not oiled, so internal seals will degrade quickly if not maintained
  2. Can't see a problem with XRT it's certified, it might not be as expensive as some, but a good fitting cheap helmet is better than an ill fitting expensive one, i would have no issue wearing it, fwiw mine is a Frank Thomas brand from the same outlet as the XRT and mine has the same certification
  3. With the amount of car adverts it must make economic sense for the manufacturers to do it, it would be interesting to know the percentage of sales that were generated from a tv advert, but going back to bikes, unless you are actively searching or interested in some way you won't know what bikes are around or in production waiting to be unveiled etc, which means the target audience is limited to those already involved, there may well be a huge potential of untapped sales waiting in the wings that are not in the loop, but could be once an interest has been revealed
  4. second pic looks like something from Ghostbusters
  5. Why not go the whole hog and build a spaceship shell around it, then you could have as many lights as you wanted
  6. Hats off to him for recycling cereal boxes
  7. Something clicked with me the other day and it was something that i wasn't actually aware of and that is the non existant tv ad's for bikes, i do rememember back in the 80's there used to be commercials but why not today, surely it must make sense to promote a more cost effective means of transport and highlight the many benefits of biking, any thoughts good or bad
  8. This really boils my pi$$, some of these schools really need to look at their approach to how the CBT is carried out, first thing i would do is report them to the DVLA, there are guidelines that are meant to be follwed, i have read on many forums about beginners that get tossed aside in favour of experienced pupils, this is not the way it is meant to be, as above find another school, but don't allow them to hurry or bully you into cutting the training short, they are meant to teach you how to ride safely, if they don't give you the correct tutoring they are not doing their job, don't give up you will get there
  9. Hello and welcome i take it then you didn't ask any questions before handing over your money, the usuall course of action is to give the sellers so much earache asking questions that they just give you a pair just to get rid of you pestering them, when i went to various exhibitions i came home with all sorts of stuff without spending a penny
  10. I can't understand why there is such a need to rush, just allow some extra time, for instance today i'm cooking a roast dinner and although i'm not hungry now i know i will be, so i have already started to cook it, that way it will be ready to eat when i am hungry, makes perfect sense to me anyway

  13. was his cbt valid when he passed his driving test or had it expired ? You passed your driving test on or after 1 February 2001 You'll get a full moped licence if you either: pass your car driving test and then complete a compulsory basic training ( CBT ) course. complete a CBT course and then pass your car driving test within two years. scratch all that just reread the post
  14. Depends on the knife, when i'm on the bike i have a swiss army knife, but if he had something like a hunting knife then yes The knife was dropped during an altercation whilst he was helping his brother collecting a debt from a 63yr old in a car park, should have served time And the rest
  15. Serves him right, he should have been sent down. Depends on the knife, when i'm on the bike i have a swiss army knife, but if he had something like a hunting knife then yes
  16. There are so many scams out there, that unless you really have no idea they are so easy to spot, even after time your own instincts become tuned to what is or isn't a scam
  17. Base layers are great, the only problem is they end up being soaked so invest in a few sets as they do tend to smell if not washed straight away
