  1. I found that microfiber cloth works really well.
  2. Straight to A1 and A2 back in 1998 Can't remember but it wasn't expensive. Mandatory 20 riding lessons (Portuguese law) then test. Over 1omth because the school.didn't had a 500cc bike when I started
  3. Don't know about Saigon. In Indonesia is common to see someone with a small compressor ready to check the pressure and add some air to the tyres of any biker passing by. Same with 1.5l plastic bottles of petrol on remote areas.
  4. Was a slow puncture that lead me to get the tmps. Well worth the 30 quid I spend on it
  5. I remember in 2019 while touring to Portugal I had the TMPS showing the correct pressure/temp until I crossed to France. Had to stop as the alarm went of showing over 50psi instead of 36. All depends on outside temp and riding speed plus weight you're carrying. I noticed the front tyre won't increase pressure and temp as much as rear one. I think this is because rear tyre does all the hard work and gets hot air from the engine while the front always gets fresh cooler air and doesn't have to cope with pushing the bike.
  6. Long story short. 2011 Bought this amazing sound system. Nothing fancy, but with all the bits I like plus proper old fashion speakers (can't be bothered to take a pic of them). 2 years ago the screen stopped working. Called Pure to be told that model was discontinued and they would offer me 20% discount if I would by a more up to date model. Problem is, Pure only makes shaite models with plastic speakers instead of proper ones. Managed to get a screen from china, 30 min work opening the system and replace the screen. working as new. Magnificent sound btw.
  7. As someone already said. Wearing leathers is more a personal choice than anything else. To protect yourself from the cold you will be better off with several layers, including thermals, regardless of wearing leather or textile. I only wear textiles for rain with or without the inside layer on if it's cold (98% of time is Scotland).
  8. That looks like a Monday job. Prep work seems to be appalling.
  9. When you start riding, you really want to visit Scotland Midges are free of charge Welcome too the forum
  10. Alternative would be the guys that collect the rubbish for you instead of a skip. As said above. Maybe better to hire a van and DIY it. Make sure the guys at the tip don't think you're a builder.
  11. I would be interested in all of them as long it will fit the person they would be for. Issue is can only try them in April Willing to travel down for a weekend in Manchester if by then you still have them.
  12. I use leathers 90% of the time. Only waterproofs when raining If could just get extra layers
  13. Happy birthday everybody. Crazy years but still lots of fun times. PS. We should get the TOTY back
  14. Legally, Retrofit of LEDs bulbs or full headlight is now legal as long they comply with the distance as in halogen counterparts
  15. The only issue I have with the new LEDs bulbs is the stupidly high quantity of light they emit and the high power they consume. Some are as high as 12,000 lumen which is over twice the comfort level for human eye. Then you have 120w per bulb which is ridiculously high for the purpose. My optometrist told me that people complaining about being disturbed by the intensity of the unregulated light bulbs. As usual, government won't do anything about it until they start to get the NHS bills for eyes treatment.
  16. Cinema night before returning home. Then you see a rat running across the screen
  17. That's a given. You don't come to Scotland without trying: Midges Black pudding Haggis And.... Deep fried Mars bar
  18. Back to the lovely Scottish weather on Sunday
  19. Nothing like the weather forecast in Scotland. Always miserable
  20. Don't know about you. This happened to me when I press RSS That's 1 page of many
  21. I bet you, they won't have a clue what you're talking about
  22. Same crap about reduced prices goes to motorbike shows. Last 2 years the prices in the Edinburgh show was no different from what you can get online or if you go to a reputable garage and show them what you can get online.
  23. Insurance companies aka legal ripoff companies will try anything to increase the premium of an existing policy. This because to get you onboard they will offer a discount which hopefully they will recover the second year when people renew it without shopping around and get a better deal. Personally I always use 3 comparison sites before any renewal and give the existing broker the chance to beat the price. If not. I owe nothing to them and will go elsewhere.
  24. Good afternoon from warm Jakarta If you haven't done yet. Please, please, please DO NOT TOUCH the RSS button in the app. (Let's see how many will resist)

Adding to what @RideWithStyles is saying, which I fully agree with. This reminds me of those people who buy a small car and then try to turn it into a race multimillion supercar. It will still be shaite, a endless waste of money and stupidly illegal to go on the road. Does nothing more than noise at low speed and annoying to everybody in a 3 miles radius. Just a thought Why not get a 125 that will do 60 from factory? And get the phoking L plate for the rear
