  4. Boxing is an excellent exercise for losing weight
  5. If you will be in need of a hot cuppa or a cold beer drop by on your way down
  6. Azores is almost 100% tourist destination. You will have plenty places to stay, to eat and to drink. There are tourist buses that will go all around the island and it will stop on the most important places. An electric taxi could an alternative to go to the island
  7. Was wondering where I could go next year when I resume my normal life and will be allowed to go on holidays without quarantine (one can only hope..) Then I come across this website. Ok some are islands smaller than a wee village so discard those ones. But it will give quite a few good ideas where to go next https://www.europeanbestdestinations.com/best-of-europe/best-hidden-gems-in-europe/
  8. If you have the chance/time I highly recommend that you do the A95 route from Stonehaven to Perth Alternative and similarly good is the A97 from Huntly then A95 to Perth. 2 excellent routes.
  9. You can always opt for a diet...
  10. The only one you would have removed is the front one. But why would you want to be mistaken with some highway maintenance guy?
  11. I've been very happy without a crapbook account.
  12. I would consider agreeing with the change on restrictions if highway code was part of primary school curriculum similar to scandinavian countries. With insurance statistics as high as they are currently for young riders/drivers there is no way any government will ever agree with it.
  13. Be weary that topbox isn't safe. You only need a screwdriver to force the lid and have it open. I've learnt the hard way when a moron took my rain trousers (fortunately they were not expensive).
  14. It should go back to dry tomorrow. How about the damn midges?

    Coffee

Herb tea! You wimp! Drink strong black coffee like a man. DO you know that 1 cup of herb tea is stronger than 5 coffees? 12 if green tea. Teeine (equivalent to caffeine) lasts 15 times longer than caffeine (10min avg). Not to mention that every different type of herb have its own medicinal properties. Even worse when you add that white stuff to the coffee...

    Coffee

I only drink herb tea Coffee limited to espresso when I visit Portugal Will give it a try when I tour in Italy next year. Those are the only 2 countries in the world that can claim to have a proper coffee culture. (Now I'll just wait until insults start to shower... )
  17. Went there twice. First because I went to buy a car in Blackburn, second because I'm a knob...
  18. There's limits - CN went from £68 to over £800 despite me racking up more claim-free miles and still not arriving at the age of senility. I didn't say the most expensive did I? I was for 1 year with a subsidiary of CN and only got trouble when I needed them. So for me CN is a big "no thank you!!" I always use 3 comparison sites before deciding then I go to the brookers website. It takes me around 2 weeks before I make a decision on which insurance I buy. It is important also to read authentic reviews (not the ones you find on google).
  19. I wonder if the guy was on the phone while fueling...
  20. All insurance brokers/companies are excellent until you need them. Then is when you start thinking "I should have gone for the one a bit more expensive..."
  21. If by your bike gear you mean Helmet Boots jacket trousers gloves sat-nav TMPS (Tyre pressure monitoring system) phone holder cables for phone and sat-nav rain trousers rain jacket spare gloves buff (the one from the forum) earplugs etc. Then you will need a mighty bag Try one of those with wheels because the whole set will be heavy and you don't want to be walking around with all that weight on your back. If there is no locking facilities at the station then your alternative is a streetlight post or a tree. A long enough strong chain that will also lock the wheels. You would probably be looking into some good quality bike cover for the rain and to hide the bike from sight. Remember, you get what you pay for. Cheap means poor quality and won't last long.
  22. A new update. Slight change to design, decided to get some mudguards instead of leaving half the wheel outside the bodywork. Initial plan was to build a wheel arch but I think this is looking better Frame painted with 2mm chassis paint from Hammerite and swivel part is with etch primer for now then will have some primer and black paint before final fitting (for test run) Frame is now complete Bike wiring complete Towbar complete Lights wiring to junction box complete Still to do: Fixing jockey wheel Carbon fibre covering wiring from junction box and fixing lights to bodywork fitting cover holder, locks and hinges getting and fitting number plate and VIN plate Then the very important test ride
