Hi, welcome in. Someone will be along with a more helpful suggestion soon enough, but I'll just say Mutt bikes are very cool looking.
  2. I saw something similar where they'd cut and extended a hydraulic bike lift. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Fp8bI03-Apg
  3. The new Voge adv bikes look crazy well specc'd. Could be interesting.
  4. Sounds perfectly normal/sensible to me. No point riding on the public roads beyond your comfort zone, particularly at rush hour. A lot of people just don't filter, it can be a high risk activity.
  5. The mechanism on my old Nolan has started being a bit glitchy. The perfect excuse to get a new one at 1/3 the original price while I take the old one to bits. Amazing how much snugger and nicer it feels after 3 1/2 years and 35,000 miles in the old one. For reference, the new one is on the left. For best results, remove the stickers before riding
  6. Ouch! It's getting crazy. E5 at Knutsford Services is 180.9. Even in an emergency I'll ride the extra few miles on fumes into town.
  7. I bought a set of screw removers for the bolts holding the mudguards on. They work surprisingly well, although you do need the hole for them to go into. https://amzn.eu/d/f9cZ0T0
  8. The answer, of course, is to ensure the pillion seat is comfortable enough for said Sunday blast/ride out. Failing that, @RideWithStyles advice seems sound.
  9. Ouch! What's the fix? Drill a hole then screw remover?
  10. Yes, you need to lean a bit in the corner before the straight.

    Hi
  12. Weird & Wonderful #8 - The Anderton Boat Lift According to Wikipedia this elevator for boats is - and I quote - "known as one of the Seven Wonders of the Waterways". Which is definitely not just a made up thing!
  13. I do, but they're a bit of a pain, work loose and scratch the inside of the visor. Gets a bit spendy after a while. Someone should invent a true double-glazed visor, rather than the floppy plastic thing.
  14. Mystery solved, 12v socket has lost its retaining nut and is now loose in its recess. Easy fix.
  15. I have a cruiser, although haven't actually ridden it that much. Comfort is subjective. On the plus side, the riding position is quite laid back and seat height is low. And they're pretty cool and whatnot. Longer distances though, you're kind of stuck to the seat without much shuffle-ability as the feet-forward thing doesn't let your legs take your weight, even temporarily. Don't get me wrong, a couple of hours and it's fine, but you do need to stop and put your feet down every now and again. Handling-wise, a bit more forward planning required. They will go round corners, but much prefer the long straights... How far away does the garage... I mean mother-in-law... live? Is there a bit of spare room in there?
  16. Hi, welcome to the madhouse Keep us posted on the bike selection.
  17. @Grumpy Old GitNice work sir! Aren't you darn sarf somewhere? Quite a trek.
  18. MOT passed for another year on the Tiger Explorer. Just over 13k miles since the last one. Booked it in for a valve clearance check next week.
  19. I had the opposite problem on the Tiger Explorer: main beam but no dip. My problem was one of the connectors hidden under the tank was gummed up and needed cleaning.
  20. North Wales #3 - Cors Dyfi North Wales #5 - Fairbourne Railway North Wales #10 - Pont Minllyn North Wales #11 - The Sarn (Mrs. Fiddlesticks recommends the Jack & Coke) North Wales #12 - Sweetlamb Motorsport Complex North Wales #14 - Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway
  21. WEIRD AND WONDERFUL... Due to my unique numbering system, I have these down as: Weird and Wonderful #11 - Welsh Wooden Toll Bridges Although there are two separate bridges here, I would not be so greedy (or unimaginative) as to try to claim points on both. Part of the weirdness is in finding two wooden toll bridges just a few miles apart. The wonderful thing is that motorcycles can be ridden across the Barmouth Bridge (albeit with some disapproving stares). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barmouth_Bridge https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Penmaenpool
  22. AWS? https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonS3/latest/userguide/WebsiteHosting.html
  23. All the best with it. Will be nice to get the L Plates off.
  24. Traffic was backing up on my usual route, so took the back roads and ended up at J&S. Well, it would be rude not to pop in, wouldn't it? It made for an expensive detour, but at least now I have bike trainers that have more structural rigidity than a wet lettuce.
