  1. NO OLLIE NO!!!!!!!!!! Bad man, go sit in the corner!!
  2. 90w gear oil, cheap, sticks and does what it needs to.
  3. I think it's just mainly having a Renault that made it such a pain, they are notorious for having parts in strange places and being a pig to work with, Good example being changing a headlight bulb. The access panel is under the wheel arch! Gave up trying to squeeze my arm around the tyre and had to take wheel off in the end.
  4. I have just spent the day working on my Wife's old car which is now my runaround. Is it just me or are cars more of a pain in the a**e to work on than Bikes or am I just unlucky having a french car? had to fit a new TDC sensor which was in the most awkward of places to get to, ideally it would of being easier to hoist the engine to get to it when I compare it with working on my bike it seems like night and day. Though to be fair my engine is completely open without any body panels to remove which will make it easier to access bits. What are your thoughts, Bike or Car? which would you prefer to tinker with?
  5. Hope you all have a good rally, will be thinking of you while I'm slaving away A few things I will miss: having the p*ss taken out of me for not being able to put up my tent admiring Bonnies Bonnie drooling over Tangos Triple Hiding from Donnies singing laughing at the antics of TC & Roy Remy Dancing Scary large man with an axe Stu riding his bike and wearing a costume..... oh wait we miss that most years anyway

  8. I passed mine first time when I was 18. fast forward 10 years later when I had to retake it and I failed miserably was my first time on a geared bike ( had a moped before) and I bunny hopped all over the place!!! couple of years later I took it again and passed without breaking a sweat. My point being if a muppet like me can do it so can you keep relaxed and try and enjoy yourself. the more comfortable you feel the better you'll do
  9. Wont make it this year My boss has asked me to let him take it as a favour to him as its the only week thats free to get in his in laws holiday home in portugal. I'm still working on possibly getting down for the saturday night but its not looking likely I'm sure you'll all have fun without me
  10. does adding counter steering to the equation help?
  11. didn't work out this way for me when my bike got nicked woke up to find bike gone, contacted police and insurance company. Found bike within about 3 hours after an immense trawl through the scum areas. rang up and cancelled claim informed police etc. When it came time for renewal they had knocked off my no claims as I had in their words 'made a claim' didn't matter in the slightest that they hadn't paid anything out, their stance on the matter was I had reported the bike to them as stolen so that is classed as a claim that was with Bennets, currently with Swinton who assured me that wouldn't happen with them!!
  12. I just picked this up today, normally £75 reduced to £50 then £5 off with card and yes I know it is useless for a bike
