  1. Hi, not sure how many miles you have done on it? If it had been stood before you bought it the brakes may be binding, the fuel could off and needs some fresh running through it?
  2. Hi, I wouldn't let my neighbour anywhere near anything of mine the bloke is a nob. But to be fair she did say her neighbour was good at fixing stuff so not that odd. Should have changed the nacked screw last time you had the battery out.
  3. Hi, for me the way forward is planning. If the weather is shit or the journey is through somewhere awkward l take the 4 wheeled version. Going somewhere good or on an adventure allow the time to get your gear together and the bike out is all part of the fun. You'll soon find out what you do and don't like.
  4. Hi, not sure on that one but on my Yamaha the rear brake peddle had a similar feel. You can however adjust the height of the lever to take up some of that slack. That and some new sintered pads made all the difference.
  5. Hi, yes as above, you need fresh fuel and a new battery. You are so close just be patient, good luck.
  6. or 2 fruit salads or one of each if you had to share with your sister..
  7. Hi, I'm guessing you would have to read the good old terms and conditions for a refund and what qualifies. Me personally I'd have been doubtful before hand because of the weather, sounds like a lot of folk just gave up early and the track did all they could to give you a go. I feel your pain but you can't help the weather.
  8. Hi, maybe you are just old? The numbers are pretty clear, so anything that aids learning is a good thing?
  9. Hi, well to be fair to them they have done exactly what you asked for. Somebody would have had to look through the database and write that up and post it. Could have been worse. Good luck with it all by the way, interesting read.
  10. Hi, Rok straps I find useful for, well, strapping stuff..
  11. If you just want folk to look at you have you considered a chopper? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/404473765542?hash=item5e2c83dea6:g:AIcAAOSwSslkeLM4&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAAwIhkR24XALkQ5CEmpyRZLcN6vEIB2uA85m1RsBY%2FTc%2Bno%2FvNFLc2AeU3F
  12. Something must have happened because they seem to be ok now...
  13. Why are all the pics grossly out of shape on this site? I've noticed it a few times now, should l be changing my settings or something?
  14. Hi, l hope Tommy goes on to win it. l think his gestures were pure emotion, he wears his heart on his sleeve for sure but that's what makes him watchable. He makes me laugh. Whereas l just don't like the Irish boy there is something about him l can't put my finger on. Anyway, may the best man win! Roll on Donny Park.
  15. Hi, well it looks the part. For me, how thick is the yokes where you have put the risers and what size bolts are holding them in place?
  16. Hi, welcome, you have made a good choice. I have the XSR, the motor makes it! There is a XSR forum for all the usual stuff, the only difference is the styling on the Tracer.
  17. Glad you are ok and all is well. Now unless you were unable, if that was me, the first thing l would have wanted to do was pick the bike up, not take off my helmet and pack and take a picture.
  18. Hi, yes that sort of thing, thanks. I'm not looking to see if it's raining on the back 3 corners of the course type thing, but l do like to see if it's gonna rain in the afternoon. Can l get there and back before it pisses down? These days l like my 2 wheel fix to be as warm and dry as possible, it's an age thing.
  19. I like Meteoradar on the laptop but it's not designed for a phone.
  20. Hi, I'm looking for a decent Rain Radar App for android, what are folks using? Nick
  21. Try putting the front wheel tight up to something solid like a wall or a tree and then put it into gear..
  22. Hi, I can recommend these, used for a few years now, as long as your battery is in good health to start with. I think they are great for the money. https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/206242
  23. Hi, not sure if this has been mentioned but a lot of bikes nowadays, the cables have a teflon coating and don't need oiling. In fact oiling them just makes them stiffer because they collect dust and crap. I'd go down the Old Codger route and take the cable off and see how knackered it is and maybe just get a new one. Shorter levers will make no difference either. Good luck, lovely day for it!
