  1. Just one more question.. How do they know your exact speed?
  2. You have to register to see the details of that route. CBA with that.
  3. Glad I only had to go around the block when I did mine. So if I'm understanding this right you have to get up to a certain speed before you go into an avoidance manoeuvre? Like swerve around a manhole or something at a min of 30mph?
  4. My laptop was bought ready to upgrade to W11 which it did. Bought quite a while ago. I'm getting messages telling me they will not continue with updates after Oct I think. So even though I'm running W11 now not sure how it will go later this year. Good excuse to go see one of my sons the tech savvy one, he puts me right with this stuff.
  5. I always thought KTM's were unreliable and if they were to use them it would expose just that. We'll never know of course but l think they dodged a bullet. The ones Henry Cole had in South Africa were always breaking down.
  6. Your route finder is still taking you on motorways and dual carriageways I thought you wanted to avoid those roads? As an ex HGV driver having covered most of the country you can't avoid all the shit roads but you can find a lot better more motorcycle friendly routes. Have you considered asking people from different areas what they would recommend? For instance your route through Lincolnshire (My area) is not bad but a couple of tweaks could take you on some really nice roads. Going past Cadwell Park from Horncastle to Louth and then back across the Wolds. Look at the way it wants to take you through ULL (There is no H in Ull) Miss out Ull at all costs. I could go on but food for thought.
  7. Great snapshot of your trip, thanks.
  8. This Lenovo G50 laptop has had the message of doom from windows so in the same boat. I do use an android tablet and one of the things I miss is the keyboard and mouse. I never even considered a bluetooth option. So thanks I have learnt something today!
  9. We all went to the south of France once. Family went in the car and I went on the bike, best of both worlds.
  10. Hi, I know what you mean I get the longer leg stuff. In Sportsbike Shop for instance you can go in there and try them on, sit on a bike simulator and get a good idea. If no SBS or other retailer go for free returns then you can order some and return them if not right. Different manufactures seem to have different sizes so you'll have to try them on.
  11. I love a big Mac me. I can still remember leaving my village and going into the big city and having my first Mac, what a taste sensation it was at such a tender age. Even now I make sure l have at least one a year to keep the memory alive.
  12. Defo rust on the leccy board there's been some moisture in there from somewhere me thinks..
  13. A slice of gherkin on my big mac is enough for me.. ooh and maybe a pickled onion at Christmas.
  14. Looks like A12 A47 to Yarmouth then round the coast to Sunny Hunny..
  15. Those chillis on that pizza look like they could be dangerous..
  16. Yay.. l had to boost Pecco at Mugello it was a no brainer. And apart from being pipped to pole it was the perfect weekend. At least I'm not last anymore.
  17. Went out to recce a couple of number places, no joy at all, oh well never mind. Here pre leaving, bonus hollyhock and the cat skulking off somewhere.
  18. Hi, probably right hand but it helps a lot if you tell us the bike make and model.
  19. This is where you really have to read the terms and conditions. Think about what you really need in the event of a breakdown or accident and make sure it says it in your policy. No good just going for the cheapest if it doesn't cover you. ie age of vehicle.
  20. I like a bit of peace and quiet, I'd have those sorts of laws here. I wonder if it could include the neighbours dogs barking on one side and the little girl screaming at the top of her lungs on the other! Jees I'm turning into a miserable old sod, lol..
  21. One of the things I like about Germany is the noise laws. On Sunday's they have a thing called a Quiet Law, so you can't be noisy mowing your lawn with a knackered old petrol mower for instance, or drilling holes in your house, also between 10pm and 6am. They do vary from district to district but the principals the same.
  22. Climate change they call it now, the climate defo appears to be changing it would seem. You notice it much at sea SW?
