  1. its complicated. You can get your money if they fail to repair it.
  2. IMO the main problem will be the insurance covering you during the test. Better to check with ride school. Other than that I do not think the instructor on the test will have any concerns about it.
  3. Most of the time. I do that week days sometime as well
  4. I found more sad news on FB today: http://scontent-bru2-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/13083379_10154763478413219_8449301351813376973_n.jpg
  5. Do they get too hot in summer? Not at all Joe. In fact they are suitable for summer only, because they have plenty textile between the leather and are too cold for now. Actually I had the same ARMR gloves and they are very comfty. Very good value for money The only reason I replaced them is I wanted something with more palm protection. My experience from low sides is I slide on the tarmac with my palm first. Mind you I havn't crashed with ARMRs or Lindstrands yet. My tarmac experience was with cheap Spada and Halvarssons Primus mitten. Both holded well. Spada not so well got tears but protected me just fine. The Primus mitten is with non-existing protection whatsoever except the leather. Does not have a scratch on them go figure http://www.motolegends.com/gloves/halvarssons-primus-mitten-black.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
  6. Lindstrands Flex gloves are the most comfty gloves ever: http://www.bykebitz.co.uk/lindstrands-flex-glove.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Also they are CE approved. Not too many gloves have that.
  7. I can recommend John Doe kamikaze jeans and Alpinestars SMX 5 WP boots. I hope I look normal here http://farm2.staticflickr.com/1662/26480209201_36e151c2fa_h.jpg
  8. 16mm 2m Pragmasis chain only is £119. You can find unbranded chain for say £20 less. No gurantee there the chain may be from cheese. Make sure you buy anti-pinch pin it will help you to have shorter chain means less weight: http://securityforbikes.com/anti-pinch-pin.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; To secure it better add layers of protection I mean loud alarm too. Nothing scares more pikey than loud alarm.
  9. If that is the case Nikwax than, or as a last resort read the washing label
  10. Agree to disagree here. What you have said is true for old style textile jackets that have outside waterproof coating. Like my old Frank Thomas textiles. Not true for new style ones. Alpinestars Bogota is made by 600D Cordura and does not have coating. The waterproofing is due to special Drystar waterproof liner inside the jacket. Means OP can remove all armor, the Drystar liner and wash on low temperature setting using mild detergent. Either air dry or dry on low setting. Avoid chlorine or bleach based cleansers. Here what manufacturer say about Cordura: http://www.cordura.com/en/about/faq.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; IME Nikwax cleaners do not have much cleaning properties to be honest.
  11. After some use I have to say realistic use is about 65mph no more. At 70 and above the wind and the engine noise are too much.

    Maintenance

    Replacing pads - fine, but why bother replacing the discs if they are fine? About brake fluid - if it is clear no need to replace it. For the chains and sprocket - good idea. You need to replace both sprockets though front and rear. Assuming your CBR125 is 04-10 model, you need these sprockets and chain: http://www.jtsprockets.com/catalogue/model/120" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; DID chain kits are good: http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/motorcycle/chain-sprocket-kits/bike/honda/2008/cbr125r/d-i-d-oe-chain-and-sprocket-kit-standard-roller-chain" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Get some wood say hammer handle wrap it in old t-shirt and put it on the swingarm and block your rear wheel. This way you can undo the front sprocket nut without having any help. Otherwise you need somebody on the rear brake. To undo the front sprocket nut any 1 meter long pipe will help you. Don't bother byuing 60cm breaker bar. Long pipe will do better job. Get good chain breaker and riveting tools. Use the breaker tool to break the chain: http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/motorcycle/chain-tools/bike-it-heavy-duty-chain-breaker" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Than use the riveting tool to rivet the new chain: http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/motorcycle/chain-tools/warrior-heavy-duty-chain-riveting-vice" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Here is how to rivet: "> " onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Never use riveting tool to break the chain. It is easy if you do not rush and have everything ready.
  14. Story of my life. I mean the young ladies dancing around the guy
  15. I am pretty sure you guys live in a nice fantasy world. Leaving the EU will mean complete disaster for the UK from financial and political power point fo view. Even the US will not do free trade agreement with the UK. And the other agreements with the trade with the EU will take decades. Look at Canada/EU trade agreement. http://www.theguardian.com/politics/2015/oct/29/us-warns-britain-it-could-face-trade-barriers-if-it-leaves-eu" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Do not get me started on loss of political power. Which by the way already is hapenning because of the referendum. FYI in the world of politics influence you have directly translates in power to make your policies work which directly translates in money at some point. So the UK is already loosing by the simple fact there is a referendum with all antics around it. That is not winning any friends. In EU, US in China or anywhere else. Cameron and freinds are writing a new book: How to Loose Friends and not Influence People. Which is why we have this from the IMF: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-36024492" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; This is hapening already because of the referendum. So yes I admire your fantasy world Anyhow why nobody wants to go with me this Sunday on a breakfast ride? Are anybody actually riding these bikes or we all stay here in the forum only http://themotorbikeforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=60050" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
  16. Its a little bit away for me riding 250 miles to the meeting point...
  17. I have mounted my new TCOM-SC 800M Interphone Bluetooth helmet intercom headset. I was looking at some other expensive devices, but do I need to pay over £200 for 2 speakers, mic and piece of bluetooth? More than happy. Does exactly what I will ever need and more. I bought it to connect to my Android phone for the sat nav ocassional use once in a month. Apparently I can listen to muisc, do phone calls and even connect to other similar devices as intercom now as well On fleabay its about £29: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/800M-Interphone-Bluetooth-BT-Motorbike-Motorcycle-Helmet-Intercom-Headset-Kit-UK-/281802500620?hash=item419cbcea0c:g:T1IAAOSwEetV-mAH&clk_rvr_id=1013707210398&rmvSB=true" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I got it from amazon though for the next day delivery: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Boblov-Screen-Motorcycle-Intercom-Headset/dp/B016XJE3T0?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; My helmet Shoei NXR have slots for the speakers, means very comfty when you put the helmet on, can you spot where the speaker is: http://farm2.staticflickr.com/1678/26393324535_0bbdba06fa_b.jpg The mic fits nicely too: http://farm2.staticflickr.com/1513/25788476394_805e520d6d_b.jpg The kit has clamp (clamps are ugly) and 3M sticker with velcro attached mount pad. I like sticker mounting better, very slim and better looking, also the sticker can be glued exactly where you want it for a better positioning: http://farm2.staticflickr.com/1462/26393307405_09a70cf8b2_b.jpg Here is the bluetooth piece mounted: http://farm2.staticflickr.com/1708/26327092451_8954fe17b1_b.jpg Note from the shooting angle it looks much bigger than it is, its actually pretty slim device no more than half an inch: http://farm2.staticflickr.com/1445/26300957892_cbf3991d2f_b.jpg

  19. My understanding is the starter relay solenoid clicks because there is not enough juice to spin the starter. What usually happens is when the solenoid engages it connects to the starter, that in effect makes the power less and the solenoid disengages. The usual fault is the battery. It may be anything else as well like bad connection. We can test the theory very easy. Connect your car battery and try. If it starts that will mean the power of your battery is not ok.
  20. Not normal for your version of the Fazer. The Foxeye has the one of the best headlights in the class. They both work as dipped and as high beams as well. Its unheard to have any mods for this model. Boxeye the previous model is notorious for bad lights. Something must be wrong with yours. Check and clean with contact cleaner from Halfords the the connections and check the voltage. Replace the bulbs. They may need regulating for the beam. Or the reflectors may be damaged. The lights on that bike are so good I never even put the upgraded Phillips bulbs I bought some time ago. Download and read the service manual and owners manual from here: http://foc-u.co.uk/index.php?action=downloads;cat=2" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; To have a bad lights on Foxeye - not normal.

Having said that so much movement is not normal. You may have some missing spacer or the wheel bearing wear.
