  7. Probably they will fall apart. Let me explain. Long story short there is a CE standard to test motorcycle protective clothing. Most manufacturers cannot produce that quality clothing. They just play dirty little games saying: "CE rated armour" pants or jacket. That means the actual textile material and seams ARE NOT tested for tear and abrassion according to the CE starndard. Does not matter if the jacket zips to the pants if they both tear in 1 second. Do not get me wrong it is better to have a clothes with at least CE armor than nothing. But do not expect miracles. You hit the tarmac with this - it will tear and your ass will peel. I hate leather pants. Having said that leather has better ressistance for abrassion. Even if it is not CE tested. Or good kevlar jeans that are tested to CE level 2 with any second hand good leather jacket are way better than the kamo pants. Personally I wear textiles Furygan Titan jacket and Duke pants - both fully approved to CE level 2 for tear and abrassion. I also bought from ebay as new Wolf racing leather jacket for £40. If you do not want to spend much money, but want decent protection you need to get second hand leather from ebay. IMO you can find decent kevlar jeans around £100. CE: European Standards EN 13595 jackets, pants & one piece suits, EN 13594 Gloves, EN 13634 Footwear, EN 1621-1 Separate or combined protectors for shoulder, elbow, hips and knees EN 1621-2 Back protector for motorcyclists has two levels 1 and 2. Many manufacturers refer to EN 1621 which is for armour including back protectors but this covers only the armour not the garment itself. That means the actual textile material has not been test and approved for tear and abrasion! EN 13595 has 2 test levels, Level 1 and Level 2. Level 2 giving a higher level of protection. Tested: Usually means that the manufacturer tested the garment sample or samples in their own facility to meet (possibly) certain standards. But the sample may not have been sent to a certified testing facility for the official testing procedures. Certified: Garment samples were tested at a certified testing facility and may have passed specific tests in one or more zones.   11. No need to repeat the 125 frustration again. I am sure you can learn 125 but you do not need to. Big bikes are completely different riding, more stable, better brakes and more comfty. Anybody who can must go directly there. Go straight to DAS. Yes this is a good way - make it for several weekends. Also make sure you book mod1 and mod2 tests with enough time between at least a week. I cannot stress how important is to find good school with good bikes in order to avoid new disappointment. If you are near home counties go do the training at Excelerate Motorcycle Training Centre Farnborough. The bikes they have will make your training much easier. Also they are a great bunch and success rate is fenomenal. And they can train you for mod1 on the actual test center area. Not on some parking lot as most London schools do.   13. It depends. If you plan to sell the bike soon use anything you have. Personally I prefer to do the best for my bikes. Given the fact CG125 needs only 1 liter oil that for good quality oil will cost you £10 I really do not see why anybody would like to save say £3?   17. You need to change it. The helmet should be a good fit, but it gives you headache its too tight. If it is too tight that means you are squashing the internal polystyrene or whatever foam they use, means it is not safe anymore. It is supposed polystyrene or whatever they use for safety to be squashed on impact only. I agree with that. Except if you compress too much you will actually damage the protective foam that is below the liner. I would change it. Definitely wrong head or helmet

  20. Because CBT isa training not a license. After CBT they gave you DL196 certificate which has expiry date 2 years after you have passed the training. In order to ride any other bike than 125 you need license. To get motorcycle A2 restricted license you need to apply for provisional license. If you have car B license you do not need provisional. Also you need valid CBT, to pass motorcycle theory test and 2 practical tests mod 1 on off street test area and mod 2 on public streets. Bear in mind if your CBT expires before you do all tests you need to start again. Theory test is also valid for 1 year only. If it expires before you do all you need to do it again. Age 21-23 - you must be 21 to hold a full, unrestricted A licence. However, at this age you can only take the test if you have held an A2 licence for two years or more. After 24 you can do directly full A license. If you have passed and have A2 license and want to apply for full unrestricted A license you need to do again only mod 1 and mod 2. You do not need to do again CBT or theory test. If you are 20 you can do A2 restricted license only. Which gives you 400cc restricted only.

My owners manual say to inflate the tyres more if you ride faster. Why you are doing the opposite on the track? Finally why is not ok to look at your mirrors on the track?
  22. Forget about engine breaking. Your instructor should have already told you NEVER EVER use engine breaking alone without real breakes on the test or in real life. You use engine breaking alone its a major fault because somebody (the examiner ) may hit you from behind. Pull in clucth and knock the gears down until you get into first, front brake and final gentle nudge on rear brake will make you stop. Do not put your right foot down. Keep it on the brake. Put you left foot down always. That habit will help you when your give away sign is on a road camber or slight uphill. As already stated you stop on all give away signs that does not have clear visibility. Plan ahead. If there is a lot of visibility you just pull out the clutch and continue. In order to plan and see well ahead do not rush. Try to make all smooth.
