try opening the fuel cap. could be blocked breather pipe causing a vacuum in the tank starving the bike of fuel.
  2. I went on one. Had a great time. Highly recommended.
  3. For a few quid you can but an inline volt/current meter. I've got one that I use for testing USB outputs. The USB installed on my bike runs at 5.2volts and I've seen it supplying nearly 2amps to a phone and camera. It's rated at 3amps which is higher than the USB specification but ideal if you want to run multiple devices. I have some photos I'll dig out.
  4. Cheap Chinese USB socket thats doesn't provide enough current.
  5. Excellent news! Let the bike shopping begin
  6. Joeman checking in. Took an epic ride home with Phil and Alex. Some great twisties which were interesting on a loaded up bike. Had an awesome weekend, thanks for organising it and thanks to everyone for being there and providing the laughs. I think we should do it again in august this year!
  7. I'm about half way there. Stopped for food. Bright sunshine so far!
  8. im ready to roll!
  9. what i was thinking... it will be too hot for textiles and hopefully not enough rain to need textiles. trouble is my rainsuit onesie is a bit of a pain to get on over my leathers. once my legs are in, and hands in the sleeves, i have to do the "rain suit dance" to get the suit up over my race hump!
  10. the BIG question... Leathers or textiles... cant decide...
  11. yep, seems the best thing to do is arrive early pitch the tent and get into the bar before the storm hits!
  12. The met office are showing dry Saturday and Sunday! Just a bit of rain on Friday.. http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/mobile/forecast/gcnrybvdg
  13. loading the bike up thursday, so long as its not raining i'll be setting off Friday AM. aim to be there for lunch time pint.
  14. Lock someone with a bit of knowledge in any garden centre and they could easily construct a bomb. You can't ban the sales of things just because they might be used to make bombs. Mobile phones are a great remote detonator. Shall we ban them??
  15. Yep I've got one. Nice bags, waterproof but a bit heavy even when empty.
  16. Great feild right next to the pub..
  17. Looking like it might be a wet one this year
  18. No harm in calling up and asking for a settlement figure. if the settlement figure is less than the sum of the remaining payments and you want to pay it off, then do so.

    carb jet step up

Sure there is no clip on the top of the neeedle? How is the needle secured into the slide? An old trick is to put the needle in a drill and spin it up whilst holding sand paper over it to basically file it down and make it sharper. Careful if you try that though!
  20. Put the chain inside a rubber tube and cable tie the links together.

    Speeding

15 years ago it must have been discretionary. I got done for passing a 30mph sign doing 70mph. It was on a dual carriageway early in the morning new years day 2000. The road slowed from 50mph to 30mph.. Nobody else on the road. The cop started off talking about court but i had some banter with the cop and got away with three points and a fine for doing 70 in the 50limit rather than in the 30limit. Nice copper. Wish they were all like that!
  22. Never trust anyone with the word General in their job title. It means they try to do lots of things but have no real skills in any. Medical negligence claim waiting to happen... Payout could buy you a new bike
  23. If the weather is like this (sunny) I might go down Thursday and start drinking early..
  24. If you can keep the 125, get plety of practice and build up one years no claims bonus. Do your test when you turn 24 and go buy a big bike. Much more choice of bikes when you're not on a restricted licence.
  25. Haha well spotted..
