  1. It will draw a small current even with nothing plugged in as it will still be working to convert 12v to 5v. If you left it long enough it would flatten your battery.
  2. Heated grips are great! Once you try them, you won't go back.. heated grips with thinner gloves is much nicer than no heated grips with huge thick thermal gloves.
  3. Have you tried "Shpock" I've sold a few things on there and it's worked well. Seems to be an increasing amount of biking stuff on there too.
  4. Instructors on a power trip. They enjoy watching the woman's dreams shattered when they fail and then really enjoy watching them jump for joy when they pass
  5. Nice bike - a man with very good taste. Looks great in white. They can't steal it if you're riding it, so just don't stop riding it!
  6. So you have an older guy bossing you about telling you bikes and uni are a waste of time... Ditch him now!! He is poisoning your brain.. Hope you're not living with him and trapped...

    Catching fire

Flames from my exhaust cost me a fortune!! Be greatful you got them for free..
  8. Took my bike for MOT at the weekend.. alarm kept arming itself every 30 seconds and annoyed the hell out of the guy doing the test! Serves him right for not just signing it off as a pass
  9. I hung my GSXR from the ceiling of the garage whilst I changed my forks.
  10. Yeah, do it the proper way.. I heard of one guy who bought his wife out if the family home and thought that was the end of it. A year later she took him to court and won half the value of everything he owned... He had to sell the house to cover the debt... So she got a cash payment for half the house then a year later she won half his assets which includes the half the house he'd bought off her already!!
  11. Don't stress, most people don't even use the rear brake..
  12. Post him a link to this thread. That's the big test... Oh and tell the weightlifting instructor that your BF says he's talking sh1t and doesnt know what hes talking about.. I can imagine the weightlifting instructor won't take too kindly to being criticized In all seriousness, next time he makes controlling comments just say to him "stop trying to control me". After saying it a few times he will either take the hint, or get worse... Then you'll know what to to.
  13. I only ever saw a couple of episodes really late at night on a crappy TV when I was too tired to keep my eyes open... It made no sense at all but was strangely compelling viewing!
  14. Different interests is one thing, but constant negative comments is emotional abuse and signs of a controlling personality. My partner hates bikes but would never comment like that..
  15. The fact it wasn't a straight "No" suggest you want to give it a try.. Go for it, what's the worts that can happen?
  16. Why do women stick with blokes who talk to them like that??
  17. I got a quechua bag from decathlon. Very good quality.. https://www.decathlon.co.uk/C-1004211-holdall-bags/N-289456-brand~quechua Mine is the 70l https://www.decathlon.co.uk/70l-expedition-bag-black-id_8171056.html
  18. If it's under your bedroom window, have a pot of boiling oil ready to pour over them. Even the pros won't like that!
  19. Wireless doorbell with mecury tilt switch. When the bike moves the doorbell sounds in your bedroom
  20. My HJC was very comfy and worked well, in some ways it was better than my Shoei GT-air. I gave mine to a mate who was starting out, he loves it. I think HJC are the largest manufacturer of helmets in the world (read that somewhere, no idea where) so don't be worried about a HJC helmet!

    new battery prep

I won't buy motobatt again after mine lasted such a short amount of time. Granted I let it discharge, but I've done that with many batteries and they all recovered.. not the motobatt battery, that said it was full then died on the ride to last year's rally. I swapped it out at the petrol station and put it in the bin! https://www.themotorbikeforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=60733&p=978355&hilit=Motobatt#p978355
  22. Happy birthday mate!! Booked the hot weather for it so the kissagram was nice and sweaty??
  23. Throw it back at the garage who "fixed" it and get them to sort the problem out.
