The IDLE and choke jets and passageways will be blocked or restricted WITH CRAP. Check if it has a the small hole where the flap/valve just sits on, that can get get blocked easily.- 17 replies

I can’t see why the dc converter (anll it does is convert power to a different type of phase to be useful) and controller (tells the motor how much and when to go) are at fault when if it gos and do stuff but won’t display owt on the screen. If it ain’t the clocks it’s Either the loom or a connector/sensor that isn’t playing ball.

Id go 1100 - rebels or most cruisers are not particularly fast or owt. Personally I found the rebels the most uncomfortable cruiser bike off memory, im not particularly a HD fan but for resale value and a bit more “special” (your interpretation) HD ticks the boxes for me.

Welcome Jimbo. just assume everything is out to get you, their not looking at or for you at anytime and it will be a safer experience.

The point of being eco is that it heats less, spins slower and less, uses a bit less water than normal, this consumes alot less electricity and water while using the detergent to its maximum effect. takes longer but for the maximum efficiency that’s what it does..
-
Hi and welcome. It would have been a grand more well spent (with better return) and far more reliable. Keep chain clean and to the correct tension. Anti corrosion protection is advised. others will be on to add more.

The joy of EV’s For me not much of a problem but for the wife priceless. id use normal cold water from the tap to be safe to the windows, all you need is running water thats abit above freezing to raise the temp of the frozen one, if you use hot water let alone the effects of the glass but the steam can refezze very quickly as it’s moisture. de Icer can affect rubber hence the ethanol, methanol etc but depending on how much you use, how old the rubber and paint is will affect how much damage can happen. Which is why on the instructions it say if it gets on the rubbers and paint wipe or wash off…

That’s the thing, if it has a proper manufacturer vin, home market or not as the import it has accountability and trace- if it actually tested by a manufacturer. some dude in a shed with some tube, wield and bar bending aint right or the same thing eye balling it is not correct in the eyes of gov and dvla. its simple if the frame has a proper vin and all the paper work follows up correct its correct, if you slam that frame to make account for say a trike it’s papers will say its vin is the same …..from a Suzuki hyabusa but now it has modified to three wheels so it’s change class to a trike but still has the main frame it’s still that bike frame so the plate of that frame goes with the bike but the papers will say changes and it test requires a different approach. if you have a no vin you have to reg it as such, that you can stamp a number on but it will be what they say it will have but always be a Q.
-
No you cannot put a private plate on a Q cat vehicle.
-
If its a new custom bike as in a custom frame made in a man’s shed in the uk it’s viewed as a “Q”, these are tested viewed and tested differently. if it had a frame from an existing part with a vin (much time what happens with most trikes, then it would have the frames vin but have different information as to what has changed.

any insurance companies that don't use 4th dimension as backend
RideWithStyles replied to mt09's topic in Motorbike Chat
Doesnt matter to them or law, something owed inflated or not that is a valued…plain wrong in the manner I will say but as a business and law terms, quite the opposite. something the insurance and business practices that need a serious shake up. -
Not good if they got a few miles down the road and head gaskets went on both bikes, ,blown engines, mechanical or electrical problems or just shite running so maybe both parties actually dodged a bullet/delayed the enviable? I mean ktm wasn’t known for reliability back then…. Maybe thought they approached it/the wrong people? That was also a thought. Not being funny and you may say differently rightly but maybe they were just viewed As not the right people to portray a brand? To be honest they have their own followers and I won’t knock them etc but me personally i just couldn’t bare the thing past the first episode even when it was free.

RideWithStyles replied to mt09's topic in Motorbike Chat
the insurance notice will leave a mark of potential claim and risk to them which will have to stay, but if 4th dimension didnt do anything then they have no right to place any marker, you need to write to them to remove their bs at their cost… you could involve bennets as to their decision to involve another party when not required and get them to remove it too. -
Screen for my CG125 (2006)

Pyramid went through a bad time/bust at one point of memory but returned with a different backer, the same machines and materials and mostly the same team. Still decent stuff from what I’ve heard, better bet than the fleecebay Chinese shite. -
More than likely it’s both and more. bad design (repeatedly), bad management with poor decisions (buying dead brands than make no sense in doing), poorly made, cost of shipping, profit margins less with given units as more outsourcing takes shares, over flooded market, cost of marketing and racing plus many more add the weight of burden. hope they can turn it round but they seriously need to sort their shite out and not just dump employees that don’t deserve it as a quick fix while not addressing the actual problem (because its cheap or easier to do that than just sack management/owners as it’s their fault for the decision) as thaT turns into a pr bomb that really can turn customers to look at another brand…then leads to a downward spiral without a healthy backer to ride it through..

Is This The Cheapest Liter-Class Adventure Motorcycle?
RideWithStyles replied to Admin's topic in Motorbike news
Being cool- looking cool and sounding cool…. drive, lack of inertia, super smooth, very well balanced while sounding interesting. Doesnt need a sky high amount of revs or a turbo but that helps if designed properly. Depending on capacity- smaller pistons and valves each having to do less work to attain a given HP goal. oh and it’s just cool - the best engines that had stood the test of time for good reason- corvettes, fords, bmw, lotus, Audi (along with inline 5),Bentley, maybe merc , plus afew other oldies all v8’s. -
When you say hard wired, what to and where? If there was a port already there for it which I would say doesnt, they missed a trick there in the design cue. Think you did do yourself one by splicing it open DIY if it had any warranty…. which judging by the marketing and selling bs I wouldn’t trust t anything they say and read into more what they dont say…. anyway think your in trouble or at least a expensive experience if the clocks have died and no support from the Chinese supply. Only thing is to look for an used part on auctions or an automotive electrical specialist and/or a software programmer if they have a generic unit….either way I think it will be way more than the bikes worth just in the labour (if theyll do it in the first place) let alone parts. so my advice would be to look at a replacement vehicle from an actual trustworthy manufacturer.

Not a bad looking engine or bike (of that era- most had questionable style). very compact and straight threw with the transmission. Would have sounded mint. servicing must be be a major pain in the arse…. And trying to keep it evenly cool or not too cold would have been difficult. frame would have been bolted to the upper centre case or if you want to be real swift- monocoque and the engine and trans is part of the frame. So it probably would have been very loose or twisting a lot, It would have handled very differently. -
Plans for next year (or rest of this year..)

Second that… licences opens options at a one off cost but doesn’t mean you definitely have to dip into it in a hurry if at all. -
Been up and DOWN capacity bikes 125 8hp -1000cc 150hp for years. The previous bike was a 500cc 46hp twin, to shall I say torquie 600s inline 4s (the old ones) 3bikes ago are more than enough on the road with pillion too with few actual downsides. The higher you go the less benefit you get out of it for the negative.

Injection. Sounds like you have a basic problem that is making it lumpy that needs addressing first (fuel atomisation or air leaks etc) before pissing about with the air fuel mixture directly.

Boiler died (well badly leaked) on us a few days ago…Borrowed some heaters till it could be replaced. So for the last 3days no heating or normal hot water and a holes from outside where the boiler parts would go. Back to the modern time of heating up, G’s lighter but warmer.
