  1. Look at it properly - At least they didn’t give you a scooter or 125.
  2. Get the correct charger for the use of, for example don’t use a normal car charger for a proper leisure battery etc, they have difference use cases and needs. using a “normal” car charger (design and spec means it’s variable) without it being designed for MBs using on a small bike battery one is one sure way of damaging/killing it as it might not over charge but apply too much power as it’s trickling it to its own design but to the small mb battery can still over do it. some chargers can handle all mb, car, leisure, lithium etc but they tend to be quite expensive . now if one says it can do it on all but could be better suited to another battery type is another question, certainly only a few brands id trust if it was a all in one.
  3. The other problem comes of when if said person or an innocent bystander get injured or killed if the police had taken action…most of the normal coppers are not “trained enough nor insured for said pursuit”. the officer(s) are on the back foot on the aftermath….as a use of “only got injured when you chased him”. now for you and me it’s fair deal if scrote got messed up but in court and back room enquiries the officer(s) are in the wrong straight away. so most of the time, most are really are not trained enough, mostly just visiting a person with a fact pack of what other services they might need as a victim of something. I know someone will say of will just tazer or shoot the, use a….but everything is means tested to equal force required. at best they crush a vehicle, though most of claimed to be owned by someone else (friend/family member) and taken without permission so said vehicle has to be returned to them for another round of chase a few weeks later…. That’s a good pinch manoeuvre and no real damage to people or coppers bikes cos that costs us. i love how the vid, the back wheel chucked up the front wheel of the right scooter and threw it down.
  4. Wouldn’t surprise me if there is isn’t an ad for anything soon as much a legal/company/random person wants a cut of a claim for a “miss sold…..” The warranty claims for one and the way it is done is completely different backwards and certainly not helpful for the customer, terrible if you get ones that can certainly stop you using one during the peak season because there is a daisy chain of companies that each have to admit there is a fault then who or how it’s gonna get sorted. Or beyond the salesperson reach…the site likes to screw you over short or long term, charges for everything yet doesn’t do the checks properly is one of many sins they do. Now to clarify it’s not me as I see far too much BS for me to stomach and cost certainly way beyond my needs and wants to justify, renting it out is just asking for trouble. I’ve got enough just with the 3 of us, house and a 20year old bike…
  5. Sure it will be worth it! will make you wonder why you have so much stuff, much forgotten about?
  6. For the lock smiths and Yamaha they’ll need the v5 before any work doing. Proper lock smiths that are attached to the system, can make one but prefer to to have a copy of a key to go with where as the dealer will defo issue one from fresh.
  7. Yep know relatives and work mates that got screwed over with caravans of both static and mobile…easily the biggest con going…..
  8. Hi, yeah sorry for the change of life but hay Ho that’s life? To be kind- be the best person you can be be right by the kids first and foremost. anyway about the bikes- learn how to ride with a good school. Get better then sign up with advanced training - many are about and as much as I don’t agree with some of the normal coppers but their motorcycle dept and riders DO NOT IGNORE THEIR ADVICE OR TEACHING! try to gain knowledge from trusted sources, now not to say a guy at a biker cafe that wants to share what they have to say isn’t right or wrong but just to say that is to their experience or point of opinion with what ever knowledge they may or not have but you might need to means test it, including our own! now for starters, research kit you think you’ll need to use the bike - do not bother with Chinese or other names Chinese made foreign or British names bikes -no ifs or buts- doesnt matter if is a 1-25yrar old jap bike compared to a new Chinese made one , avoid the Japinese or what ever crossover shit is about. as to -good weather or all year kit, search what you need and want from a kit- not everyone on here needs or wants the same as you…
  9. I’ll say as an optional side thought- Possibly the blubs could have been over powered/ less than Ideal and the battery killed both lights?? Without knowing the lights, mounts and setups its worth mentioning.
  10. To be honest is primarily to do with proper fit….not just how you think is a good fit but how it fits with how you biometric head fits with its design. really good fitting ear plugs (noise dampening and fit) will have a great impact on what you hear or if it’s sticking out and touching the lining of the helmet. How much wind noise (how direct air flow/pressure your getting hit with) from the bike.
  11. Agree. merely pointing a fact as to what driving and maintaining this directive of rather than the one they claim it is for and pay by. And obviously not really following/chasing up an actual crime so the scum can carry on the next day but only filling in the absolute bare minimum for a folder of ticking boxes is a disgrace and wasting of taxpayers money at worst fueling the problem. though some areas for speed limits are not always marked out well for non locals as how would they know? just a add a little thought, most caught would be locals to a percentage. psychologically getting caught, bollocked and written a ticket face to face by a copper in uniform has a better effect of curbing (also they can check if they are valid licence, tax, mot, drinking, drugged, reason of criminal act at the same time). where as a faceless envelope with threats, warnings and demands just makes people pissed off for most of the fact, only they’re saving grace they might offer us of a driving awareness course to some point dodge a bullet or just of a slap lessens this rage, mentally speaking of course.
  12. Still tax payers money (not directly from the fine money) goes to pay for the vans, wraps, cameras, operatives (employees and equipment indirectly or directly), processing, diesel, insurance, the upkeep, oh the list could go on. on what is arguably more or less a petty crime in normal circumstance as in direct to speed, yet only done because it is easy and most lucrative of any….the only one where crime does actually pay.
  13. I thought There was a slight spec difference between the two? Fork and particular the shock? If the spec (this is the most important) /colour/ year and they’re still new bikes, this case I’d plump for the lower mileage one. bikes get older but stay the same, bikes do the mileage dont.

    Running

Yea sounds like something is being vacuumed (pulled) to block it, when stopped it slowly releases the pressure (movement) and can start again. so change or check fueling - pump, internal filters, pipes. oil filters have been known to do something similar, if its an old or cheap filter that prolapses.
  15. Well I’d agree - If the ally express is only that much I’d do it anyway, one thing for sure you’ll be one step closer to knowing if it is potentially the tps for extremely nothings assuming of course that ally part is correct and working? If it changes anything , even if doesn’t work fully but does something different for you then you know something either wholely or partially to do with it prior and after in the system to that part! so one step closer. Plus it might take a while to get to you over the season.
  16. Good morning! Closer to Christmas
  17. Depends mostly on the bike, And partly the kit. not always, they both can use pillion handles or pillion seat or the subframe along with the pillion pegs and exhaust bracket. But if you only have access to one of those good strong points to mount it will only beable to use one of but not always both to the same point. if you check givi and shad website of your bike the list will say what options are available to you.
  18. it will be a good fun bike when running well. brother had many Ducatis (which I rode) but I never bought one myself. the only thing is there is no history of it and me personally I’d always assume someone has done a Rodney to everything on it until you have definitely confirmed yourself it’s cleared. Hence the fuel pump., they sit low but don’t always get fuel in as the have a wall around them and suck air. Yes correct so if the tps (sensor and wiring) isn’t seated well it can’t see what it’s doing and waiting for a pick up timing to tell it, very common on Yamahas of the early r1 and tmax. Not clever enough to say it’s missing parts of info expected , it just does stuff as it see’s/told so very well could be this as silly as it sounds a bike on at very high revs, full load, on full (ish) throttle is easier for it to work out what to do with itself than when it’s at idle or just above it. Id check this first before fiddling with settings. the airbox temp wire and sensor is very flimsy and doesn’t take kindly to ham fisted, error codes don’t always show up, they have VERY little resistors to work (like 0.25 or something daft). As a general rule they dont completely stall a bike more likely it will run abit leaner or richer but not by much.If you had a volt meter or a system to pass through it to check your getting the correct value from it. the throttle bodies have to be very clean and seated well inside and out. So checking the springs, mounts, rubbers are important, hence the spray idea. Agree to take note of what settings everything thing is now. then tweak one thing to test, note what it did. RESET IT TO THE ORIGINAL SETTING, Let cool down, tweak something else to test, note what it did and so on. id avoid tweaking many things at the same time if your not sure what effect each has or how much a ratio does? If it or any of them are linear or does it ramp up- at what point? so x and y might have 0-100 values, x to 25 does nothing but at 50 it trebles while y at 25 might do a lot for example.
  19. Wonder if you have a small problem alone with another one that is causing part of it? Air leak or a rubber hose/seal getting past for example? So if you rev it it pressure closes or opens up the hole but when it’s relaxed it’s normal, As would be worth spraying carb or brake cleaner around parts of it to see if something changes as its idle or reving. To check if the tank by bypass it -you hook up a cheap auxiliary fuel tank (a bottle with a pipe) with fresh fuel and test if anything changes if not then the tank is fine. what I thinking is as the vid, the initial throttle seem slow and dry, when you rev it past the 3/4 thou it seemed happier, and just after the shut off - it might not be a injector issue especially as you’ve checked the injection now I’d test a few different ways slowly bringing up the revs a thou a sec or two, and back down the same way, then faster, does it make much difference? have you checked the plugs? Are they fouled up or really dry? Is one cylinder/manifold colder than the other shortly afterwards when started from cold? That will give a clue as to which one is bing a problem and work from there of swapping a good cylinders components to the bad one each Time and go from eliminating. is the trim setting as is set just for full load or idle if you dont know and whats its related to? so is + full resistance or non in the wiring so it’s maxed or not out due to a sensor problem? Some parts need a resistance to say its ok, same with airbags and weight sensors….Just a thought. the only true way to test the injector as per your test is to know at what given rev or voltage in the case of the injector to what ml of fuel delivered at a given duration of time you get, so at x volts over x time you should get x ml of fuel. injector mist is quite fine rather than a bush or lob in like carbs do for atomised burning.
  20. Hi and keep it going. revise -look up test practice vids and practice (in your head if your not riding to practice for now) what needs to be done during the test, so come spring it will be second nature and pass it first time.
  21. Looks like a Lovely example! brother had one but his was a dark red. sure it wont take long to find it another owner.
  22. What a beast!
  23. Less so if the bike has ABS.
  24. Never knew it existed…don’t know if I want to ask why called 305? Odd number…
