megawatt Posted December 11, 2018 Posted December 11, 2018 Buy the one for your bike and you won't have to mess about with the wiring. Quote

SometimesSansEngine Posted December 12, 2018 Posted December 12, 2018 Have you asked a nearby dealer?https://www.keeway.co.uk/dealers Quote
Mississippi Bullfrog Posted December 12, 2018 Posted December 12, 2018 There are two answers really...It doesn't have to be the original - but if you use anything else you will need to do some wiring and possibly make an adapter plate and it's unlikely the steering lock will operate. So that's not a quick solution. So sourcing an original part will be easier if not immediate. Quote
fastbob Posted December 12, 2018 Posted December 12, 2018 That's odd , I found this in 30 seconds Quote

onesea Posted December 13, 2018 Posted December 13, 2018 If they where kind enough to leave the keys in the ignition I probably would not be to concerned... Changing the ignition lock might not be as easy as you think if its designed to fool thieves... If like most things in life they have complicated anti theft designs, just made of cheap plastic so a large screwdriver breaks them. Its just when wants to change it without doing damage..... Quote
TimR Posted December 13, 2018 Posted December 13, 2018 if you have the keys why worry . if you have the keys and want to change you can just change the barrel with no dramas if you dont have the keys you may need to also get petrol cap key seat release key Quote
