I was involved in a big smash that saw it written off After I got the pay out I went out and bought another gsxr600 Which I crashed!! and repaired to this I thought those gsxr's where out to kill me so I swapped it for a TL1000s! Kept that for 9 years! then got the FJR Quote

It was scuffed as if it had fallen over, the seat was ripped and the chain was hanging loose and rusty What a waste of a lovely bike. Quote

It was scuffed as if it had fallen over, the seat was ripped and the chain was hanging loose and rusty What a waste of a lovely bike.That is a sad tale.I loved mine but did have an unexpected encounter with a wall in the Isle of Man which resulted in a damaged generator and a slightly bent crank !Straightened by a guy in Douglas by hand with a dial gauge , hammer and a lot of patience.Traded in for my first Ducati but so wish I had kept it !Saw it a couple of years later and the owner had been to Greece and back on it so was obviously a lot further from imminent death than I had thought.CheersIan Quote

I went through something very similar.. from a K1200GT to an F800S.The F800S suited me much better than the 1200... which though a great bike, I was very glad to see the back of. Quote

When that got nicked he replaced it with a white rd400. I used to beg him to take me to cubscout footy matches on the bikes. I was shite at footy, and didn't enjoy it, but the rides there n back were awesome ...... probably counts for nothing in this thread, but fab happy memories coming back now Quote
