Guest Posted April 11, 2020 Posted April 11, 2020 Talking to an old mate of mine back in Britain and he was asking me about house prices here. Like I told him......the same as Britain, it depends where you want to go. If you want Marbella or places like that you're going to pay more obviously. So just to give him an idea of where I live (and the value of property here) I took a few outside shots of the place. He was shocked when I told him what it's worth........and I was even more shocked when he told me what it would be worth where he lives in Buckinghamshire. So take a look and give me a rough idea of what this would be worth where you live?35 years old 3/4 double bedroomed semi, 2 bathrooms, 2 tiled patios (one with additional one room building), very large integral garage with electric and plumbing, pellet burner heating, new UPVC double glazing (inc Mosquito nets & Shutters), repainted inside and out a year ago. You probably know it's pretty quiet here as well! The weather's not too bad either! The house is basically in one cul de sac on the outskirts of the town........so no through traffic. All the area you see in the pic (inc side patio) up to to the end of the black garage doors is ours: In front of the house.....we're not overlooked: The rear patio where you can see the entrance to the additional building. There's also a side patio as well of similar size: And here's the garage which most of you have seen before. Excuse the cobwebs on the Strom: That cost us €80K in 2005, and it's worth about the same now.....maybe slightly more. Interestingly though, €80K was worth £55K in 2005, but €80K now is worth £70K........so on that basis we're actually up on it.So give us an idea of what that would be worth where you live? Quote
Mickly Posted April 11, 2020 Posted April 11, 2020 Obviously the lack of amenities, absence of green & a squatter in V Strom form would hit the value.Around our part of Cov, about £320k Quote
dynax Posted April 11, 2020 Posted April 11, 2020 On the outskirts of donny based on similar sized properties that i have seen, anywhere from £200K upwards Quote

Guest Richzx6r Posted April 11, 2020 Posted April 11, 2020 Well the house we are renting was on the market a few years ago for 80k which is a small ish 2 bedroom with garage and front and rear garden so my estimate would be somewhere around £200-250k Quote

There are 4 bed houses in parts of Milton Keynes worth less than a shed in villages like Thornborough or Beachampton.I am afraid it is a very variable feast. As a comparison Bedfordshire has extremes such as Biddenham and Luton Greater London has Hackney and Mayfair.CheersIan Quote
