as jrh says held, double skin a glove in a glove as to say but it wasnt much of a sales hit (especially gb) so it wasn't much of good at one or the other plus fairly expensive for what it was so few other manufacturers have taken the roll.

Thanks for the suggestions, I tried installing heated grips today but multiple problems arose so I'm gonna let the mechanic close-by do it.

Used the superglue that came with the oxford grips, and well big regrets, both grips are sort of almost on/just past the halfway point, and cannot wiggle them loose however hard I try... have already booked in with the mechanic tomorrow morning, so I'm gonna stop trying at this point

Thought I do a quick multi-bike policy check on an S1000R and a 1250 GSA - £1400 with Bennents. That's pretty decent.

You might want to stop storing them on a London street, with the keys in the ignitions, under a giant neon sign saying 'steal these bikes'.

Still, makes me feel better about my insurance as I was pretty miffed that they'd doubled it to £280 despite a lifetime of no claims. I'm going to shut up and count my blessings now and just cry about the car insurance.

young uns pay the same or more for alot less and don't mean they will defo crash or stolen claim either.

Not brilliant paying out for stuff but save it for the ones on the start of the ladder.

Yep looks decent price but Let me get this straight, Really still gonna start whining?
Look at it from their view: not even looking at males, longer without a claim the more likely you might have a claim while your policy is with them, yada yada yada ....Two bikes worth how much? Lets round off to £10k each just for ease, £20k So a policy that is 9% to cover two desirable fairly nickable bikes in or near problem areas, not including if you have a crash all buy yourself, hit something or someone else....cost id be surprised if that is still less than to cover just a whole proper whiplash claim.

I swear tg, do hand guards that come on the Tracer even do anything? the wind is just blasting on my hands anyway. :)

Previous owner didn't seem to take care of it very well either, the rust on the exhaust bolts going into the engine is nuts.. scraped most of it away with a wire brush, probably went from 12mm to 8mm wrench size.

Ouch!

I was gonna buy an africa twin DCT which the dealer near me had for sale for a really good price - glad I looked at insurance quotes before I commited :D, that would've been 3.5k TPO.

Frozen fingers today. Had to concentrate hard to make them squeeze the front brake. Oddly only on the right hand; the left hand was ok.

Nice to find some sunshine to ride in for a change :-)

I tried hand guards and found them to be pretty useless. I did think about handlebar muffs but they look a bit naff. I'll stick with my heated gloves.

I'm hoping the temperatures going to rise a bit before I have to ride home this afternoon.  Had to scrape the ice off the seat this morning. 🥶

Took it down to All Year Biker for its annual deep clean and application of XCP. Unfortunately the roads were filthy so by the time I arrived home it wasn't quite as shiny as when it was finished. Quite chilly as well, had my heated  Keis over vest plugged in for the first time this year. Finger tips were a bit chilly though.

How many miles to your all year biker?

Got a TEC exhaust installed today on my tracer 700, took the mechanic 7 hours because of how badly the whole stock systems's bolt etc was corroded and stuck everywhere.

He ended up charging me for only 4 which was extremely appreciated.

Was it worth it? Yes, even if I had to pay for all 7. 😁

Dropping the S1000R off tomorrow. Will leave the GS at the dealership for another week for a ceramic coating and a dash of PPF on the painted parts.

Hopefully ride it home next Saturday, although they’re absolutely lathering the roads in salt at the moment.

Down here he is mobile comes too you ..  I am not certain how far he travels.

Today I didn't ride to work, my misses started defrosting the car for me.

Probably a good thing as my crew mate fell over on the sheet ice in the car park.

I asked but the closest one for me is in southampton and it's 55 miles each way, so he said if I came to him he would do the more expensive one for 70GBP. Just need to find the time..

How bad are these sprocket teeth? It’s getting it’s 12000 mile service Wed but just want to know if these are gonna probably have to be replaced.

I think you need new sprockets and chain. Get a nice shiny gold coloured DID chain.
